Maybe. But Israel will be stronger and their enemy weaker. They also won't necessarily be on their border.
Hardly

Isreal's military has laready shown some glaring problems that were unknown even 20 years ago.

Meanwhile Iran's military has gotton stronger.

And when Iran join Israel as an owner of nuclear weapons.....all bets are off.

Especially as the US is not nearly as pro Israel as it used to be .

It's not about revenge. It's about destroying an enemy that must be destroyed.

Also, you keep repeating numbers, general or specific, that are based on Hamas propaganda. We have no reason to trust them.

The numbers come straight from the secretary of defense.

In fact US intelligence says the numbers involved may be even higher.

Enough is enough.

Time for a ceasefire .

Or the next 2000 to 10,000 lives lost might be Israelis .

If there is a ceasefire, the next thousands killed will definitely be Israelis.

Based on what scenario ?

Hamas. Hezbollah and friends will recover and do what they live to do
So you really believe these 2 organizations have the immediate capability to kill 'thousands' of Israelis in the event of a ceasefire ?

With what....AK 47's ?

Why "immediate"? They will continue to murder innocent people as long as Iran keeps providing them tickets, guns, ammo, etc. This has been their M.O. since they were founded. If they kill thousands over a few days or a few years what difference does it make? The victims are still dead and the genocidal maniacs will still celebrate, along with their soulmates in the west.

No ceasefire until they are destroyed.

You are in for a major disappointment.

There will be a ceasefire within the next 45 days.

As Biden is feeling increasing heat from his core constituents.

Women, young and minority voters.

So Israel will be forced to play along. Not only by Biden, but by the economic cost of their extensive military mobilization.

Hamas will survive , although in a much weaker condition.

You actual think anyone on the planet is concerned what Biden thinks? The man is a sad joke, and NO ONE respects him or his incoherent statements.

Go ahead, though, and keep spouting off the Hamas propaganda. We know how absurd it is.

Yes it is absurd to see millions of Muslims surrounding Israel.

Absurd to see US support of Israel getting significantly weaker with every passing generation.

Absurd to see Iran with nuclear weapons within the next 6 years.

Absurd to see the world totally aghast at the 25,000 dead in Gaza. One of the poorest regions in the Middle East.

Even after the incredible security breach in October the Israeli military is just as capable as it used to be ?

Also, they didn't burn one body at a time. The ovens were large & each camp had more than one.

Think of what you know about Germany engineering: automobiles, optics, etc. Now apply that level of efficiency to mass murder. They planned it out at the Wansee Conference in early 1942 with high level figures from govt, industry, etc. it's scary how methodical & organized they were when contemplating genocide. Evil.

This is the mentality of Hamas without being quite as methodical or clever. Well, I guess some people might consider terrorists parasailing to kill people at a music festival to be clever.

Got millions of potential recruits/ replacements coming up every generation

Might come up with a new name….but the attitude will be the same .
Israel had superior demographics than the Palestinians before the war = larger population and considerably higher birth rate.

The war has decimated Palestinian demographics.

In the long-run, Palestinians are doomed......

Other Israelis hating Muslims will continue to replace the 'doomed'.

As US demographics continue to change; so will our attitude toward Israel.

Instead of a noble people doing their best to survive in a sea of enemies, the Jews are increasingly perceived as a brutal , domineering force of oppression.

While I believe the issue is far more complicated, most Americans don't spent more than 15 minutes seriously contemplating any problem and then follow whatever social media trend popular at the moment.

As a result US financial and military aid to Israel will be gradually reduced .

And without US support it is Israel that is eventually doomed.

Iran and "strong military" leave me chuckling. I vividly remember Iraq has the worlds 8th best Army. The Royal Guard is elite, they are well trained…blah blah blah.

When the tanks came they were literally scrambling to find US soldiers to surrender to. Could surrender fast enough.

I respect Taliban fighters abilities orders of magnitude more than the Iranian Army.

Interesting

Can assure you technology aside , no one fears the combat readiness of the US army. Least of all the Iranians.

As the US army has been effectively gutted by various social experiments forced upon it.

And the American people will not long support any foreign war involving ground troops…..period.

I see the dynamic. My Palestinian friends in Khartoum 30 years ago talked about that very dynamic, how they needed to emigrate more to the USA to offset Jewish influence in the country.

But there's more to it than that. The amount of wealth that's Pro-Israel is wildly greater than the percentage of the population that's pro-Israel. And the Palestinians would take generations to compete in that realm. Plus, there are substantial geo-political justifications for pro-Israel policy, not to mention cultural affinities.

We can revisit in 100yrs and some things may well look a lot different. But I'd be surprised if we survey the landscape and see no Israel, or that there is no Israeli aid in the US federal budget. What my Palestinian friends missed was the reality that US support for Israel is not just a function of lobbying by 2% of the population that is wealthier than average. Israel is, in the broadest sense, an outpost of Western Civ in a portion of the world which is culturally quite hostile to the rest of the planet. America loves the underdog. Israel will not be easily abandoned.

You gotta be kidding .

Korea 36,000 dead for nothing
Vietnam 54,000 dead for nothing
Iran 5000 dead for nothing
Afghanistan 4000 dead for nothing

WW2 520,000 dead and that is with the Russians fighting 70% of the German army and the Chineses fighting the majority of the Japanese army .

And just how long do you think the American people would support ANY ground war fella ?

That perception is shared by a lot of antisemites, not be sane people who don't have those biases.

Support for Israel is stronger among the American population than with our fascist leaders. The people have a way of making their voices heard. I don't think sic for Israel will decrease significantly if at all. Even if it did, israel will find a way to survive. They have done so repeatedly, against all odds.

At the time of the Gulf War there was a brilliant political cartoon with a sign that read, "Welcome to Iraq, home of the world's 8th largest army!" The 8th was crossed out & replaced with 9th, then 20th, etc. In the background was the "highway of death" with the ruins of that army. It was funny in a twisted way. Your comments reminded me of that.

I doubt that's entirely true but to the extent that it is accurate is because of the multiple failures over the past 20-30 years of our leaders. Today, there is much less respect of a military whose commander has trouble speaking in complete sentences & climbing stairs and a brass more concerned the pronouns of delusion soldiers who don't know what a man or woman is. Our govt has become a joke because the Leftists are idiots promoting asinine policies.

I would argue his one assertion is correct but it's not that one. It's that Americans lack the stomach needed to finish the job. We care too much how the task is accomplished. We want to win a war without killing people. We are also baby sh8t soft as a people.

We are cool with bombing from afar because they don't have to see American soldiers die on the evening news. Korea and, to a much larger extent, Vietnam killed our will to win. When the realities of war were brought home people just couldn't handle it.

That's my point . Who would willingly go into harms way for a commander in chief like Biden ?

In addition the army is grotesquely shorthanded despite relaxing its admission standards .

Time to finish with illusions.

Our army is the weakest it has been since the post Vietnam debacle.

No one , least of all the Russians , Chinese or Iranians are the least bit intimidated by it .

And the last time the Russians tried anything, a small U.S. SpecOps force cratered them into oblivion.

Americans like wars that end quickly with a victory. See the Gulf War. Unfortunately, even with those the aftermath can get messy very quickly. See the Gulf War.

American's views on the Gaza war won't be the same because we aren't fighting it and Americans tend to sympathize with Israel. Yes, there are radical Leftists mindlessly repeating Hamas propaganda & generally acting like antisemitic morons but most Americans see these people as kooks and freaks. And many of them are. wouldn't say that. Just an enormous miscalculation, as subsequent video documents.

One could posit that, in view of demographic realities, Hamas might have believed they were in a "now, or never" moment in time. A few analysts cite that dynamic as a factor in Russian and Chinese war making decisions.
