I think you have a distorted view of occupying. Israel did not go on the offensive, like Russia did. They are responding to Arab/Hamas attacks.

My question to you is after the Arabs attacked and lost (again and again) should Israel just keep giving the land back so they can keep trying? How many times should Israel have to keep conquering the same land only to give it back because they are occupying?

Why would they want to leave their homes?

I do read passages where Paul and the other Apostles say that the Gospel is for the Jews first and then the Gentiles. So that would seem to show that even after Christ died and rose again, there was still some preference for the chosen people.
