So, reading between the lines, is this in response to Muslim immigrants?
Yes. People are expected to know their place, which is below the Religion of Peace adherents, pigs be unto them.

I don't know. I can see this as their attempt to address what they see as a problem without putting a "racist" label on it.

Now I'm sure there would be a few sacrificial lambs to show they weren't using this to target Muslims, but I could actually see that being an underlying reason for the interest in the proposed law.

I just have zero faith in the UK govt at this point. The two tier justice thing is in full effect and they go after the native Brits and let the foreigners get away with literal rape and murder. The future of the UK seems pretty bleak.

I could actually see this being shot down because people will say it's being proposed for racist reasons. If it is passed, I have no doubt there will be cases that will seem absolutely ridiculous to us as they bend over backwards to show they will apply it to non-muslims.

Where do you get this perception that the UK government is wanting to crack down on Muslims? From the anti-blasphemy laws which only protect Islam? From the millions of Muslims that they have welcomed into the country? From the millions of Muslims that the government is hosting and feeding at the expense of normal brits? From the thousands of muslim grooming gangs that the government has yet to go after?

No this new proposal is in line with the anti-free speech actions that the government has selectively enforced against normal brits who oppose the evil Muslim invasion.
It will almost never be applied to Muslims. It is intended to break the will of British men, before they grow up. Muslims will be exempt for to religious reasons... bank on it.

I wouldn't say, "crack down on muslims", I would say they aren't completely blind to the increase in sexual assault crimes with the influx of muslims and this might be a way, in their mind, to combat that without appearing to call out muslims specifically.

The ideal solution to the massive influx of illegals is to make remaining here untenable so that they self deport. Those who stubbornly remain should be deported as well. It will require a major overhaul and complete reversal of the Biden-Harris open border policy. It is imperative that this begin ASAP.

Freedom of religion is not protected much lately, at least not if you are a Christian in the US, the UK, France, & other places. Muslims & neo-pagans are very much favored by Leftist governments these days.

The vast majority of Americans have no idea of the hundreds of thousands of religious executed or starved to death in China and Russia alone within the last 100 years.

And many who have read about the slaughters choose not to believe these events actually occurred.

Many people are unaware of the persecution Christian's face today in India, China, Nigeria, and other places. Americans should be shocked that it's happening in Western Europe, Canada, & even here but too many don't seem to care. They should. A government that mistreats one group of people will mistreat anyone and eventually does.

Mexico murdered more Catholics than any other country in the Western Hemisphere since 1910. Shot thousands of priests and lay people. Hung additional thousands on telephone poles.

All of which can be confirmed by a Google search.

What is happening in Canada right now bothers me the most. Hundreds of churches have been damaged or destroyed, and no one seems to care.

There are 32 million men in the UK and roughly 170K police (not all are armed - you need a special permit); so at some point when it breaks, it would not take many men to overwhelm the police, arrest the 1,000 or so politician criminals and start executing them at Tower Hill....shortly afterwards I suspect a cleansing would take place of all illegals as well.

It might very well get to that point....and maybe that is the plan....

[What's A Free Country, Anyway?

As you all know, it infuriates me the way the European and American media cover Hungary. The free speech situation here in Hungary is far better than in much of Europe, and certainly in the woebegone United Kingdom. I write about this in the European Conservative. Excerpts:

Quote:

As Frank Haviland detailed in The European Conservative, stories of ordinary Britons arrested and even given harsh jail terms for things they said on social media are now common. And, as Haviland showed, the enforcement is selective, aimed at whites and non-Muslims; the Starmer government gives racial minorities and followers of the Prophet far more leeway. 'Two-tier' policing also shows up in policing speech.
The situation is so dire in the United Kingdom that former MP and Tory official Lord David Frost declares that Britain is no longer a free country. Lord Frost points out that the country's speech laws grant despotic powers to the statepowers that the Labour prime minister is now exercising remorselessly.
One practical problem of all this, he says, is that it has now become impossible to debate with honesty the very real crises Britain faces over mass migration and crime. How can any society deal with its serious problems if merely talking about the problems in a way the authorities dislike can land someone in prison?
"We prided ourselves on being a free country in which we could speak freely. We simply cannot say that now," writes Lord Frost. "We are, in fact, all vulnerable. Say the wrong thing in the wrong way at the wrong moment, and any of us might find the police at our door."
He's not exaggerating. This is happening in a liberal democracyindeed, in the very country where liberal democracy was invented. And yet, not a peep of protest has been heard from European leadersand it is certainly not because of Brexit, either.
The reason is obvious: most European leaders almost certainly see no problem with the Starmer government's moves, and surely plan to do the same thing to their own people if faced with a similar situation. In her January address to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Ursula von der Leyen identified "disinformation" as the greatest challenge facing Europe and its business leaders. Not mass migration, not faltering economies, not the war in Ukrainebut rather, disinformation.
Why? Because, said von der Leyen, you can't effectively tackle problems in such an environment. She would say that, wouldn't she? Free people who have the liberty to dissent from the official stories promulgated by the ruling class are more difficult to govern. It is harder to tell them what to do, and expect them to obey.
More:

Quote:

If Lord Frost is right, and the UK is no longer a free country because of the government's despotic crackdown on free speech, especially speech critical of the special treatment given to migrants and Muslims, then the free people of Hungary would be happy to offer them refuge. In a pub last week, I drank beer with a conservative Englishman who is considering making the move. He marveled at all the Brits and Western Europeans he sees in Budapest now, escaping the migration and crime crises in their own countriesand the inability to talk about these things back home without being socially censured, or even sanctioned by criminal law.
"I'm surprised a journalist hasn't covered this yet," said a second Englishmen in our party. I'm not. The unstated premise of all Western media coverage of Hungary is: Viktor Orbn cannot ever be right.
Read it all. But you British readers be careful about sharing it on social media. I'm joking! For now…]

I'm talking about targeted persecution. Thankfully it's not much and it's still rare, but it's foolish to deny it exists. Christians were targeted and jailed for protesting against the murder of babies. The FBI and DoJ have declared them "domestic terrorists" (while ignoring real terrorists and allowing who knows how many to come in through the open border). The Dems openly use extremist rhetoric against Catholics who believe in the Latin mass, Christians who are pro-life, and others. That is not healthy or rational. The Left even invented a new bogeyman, the Christian nationalist as a targeted "enemy of the state". I don't know if they ever bothered to define the term officially.

It's prudent caution to be wary of such trends.

There is virtually no targeted persecution in the United States. Blocking access to health care is always going to be a crime, or vandalizing a health care facility. Attacking a woman going into a Planned Parenthood. You are misrepresenting what happened in these cases to a degree that is dishonest.

Again, it is incredibly easy to be Christian in the United States. Historical levels of freedom.

Incredibly easy? Tell that to the Christian school in Nashville that has several dead kids. Or the church in S Texas that was shot to bits. Make no mistake that the lgbt freaks and other leftists have a violent hatred for Christians and want to see them killed. When I was a kid I always thought the idea of Christians being persecuted was unrealistic but in todays America its not far fetched at all. The left has an extreme hatred for white Christians and white males in general.

The fascists hate anyone outside their Leftist tribe. Blacks or homosexuals who are also conservative are treated like traitors. Just look at the visceral hatred and often comically stupid attacks on Justice,m Clarence Thomas.

historian
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I use the term fascist to distinguish different kinds of socialism. Simply put, fascists are socialists who are not obsessed with taking your property, at least not directly or immediately. Mainly, they want control: you can own your business but the government will impose all kinds of ridiculous rules & regulations to make it more & more difficult to be profitable and it often makes your life miserable. Sound familiar? In the long run, large corporations figure out how to make the system work for themselves. They can afford the increased up front costs of new regulations so they support them and pass on the costs to the consumer through higher prices. They like this arrangement because it drives out of business smaller competitors and they get more business. In the end, the rich get richer while the poor get poorer and the middle class gradually disappears. Also, the politicians gain more dnd more power while the people gradually lose their freedoms.

This is a simplified version but it covers the basics. There are lots of variations, just like with all "isms", but it's still a form of fascism whether in the U.S., Canada, Europe, or Australia. We witnessed some extreme versions of it during covid. Historical fascism is more complicated because of imperial ambitions, extreme racism, hypernationalism, etc.
