There have been decades of Israel playing nice with the terrorists. The terrorists stayed in their area, shot rockets at Jews, hoped to kill as many as possible, then hid behind innocents. Israel spent tens, hundreds of thousand, sometimes millions, to shoot the rickets down, and generally stay in their area too.
But then the terrorists decided to invade, kill thousands, take hostages, both Israeli and American. That was the escalation. The only possible responses were Israel saying "ok thats alright, please don't do it again?" or meeting force with force.
Truly despicable that the subhumans continue to hide in residential neighborhoods. They actually want 10 civilians to die for every terrorist killed. Can you believe it?

The IDF prints warnings and broadcasts messages to leave homes where Hezbollah stores weapons. In Gaza the IDF called numbers of individuals with messages to warn of impending strikes within 5-10 minutes so that the occupants could leave. No other army does that to my knowledge. Hezbollah launches missiles from civilian homes. What do you expect the Israelis to do? Nothing?
