This might be the biggest injustice of 2024.

Amazing this is who NYC prosecutes.

I feel bad for him because I could see a TDS jury convicting him out of revenge for the 2024 election ...

The fact this case was prosecuted shows how corrupt is the authoritarian left.

Daniel is guilty of having the wrong skin color…nothing more.

Yep. If only he had been blek and killed a cop, he'd be a New York Congressman.

The judge allowed the prosecutor to identify Penny as "the white man" throughout the trial.

It's a fair trail. Lol

If that jury is stupid enough to convict him, he needs to be at or near the top of the list for a presidential pardon on day one of Trump's 2nd term.

Trump can't pardon someone convicted of a state crime, he can pardon people convicted of federal crimes

It's a long shot, but the DoJ can take the state to court to protect his civil rights.

That's incredible. Talk about reversible error.

Once had a trial against a lady whose husband killed himself. Was a prominent plastic surgeon, and had purchased a multi-million dollar piece of equipment on credit. Well, after he passes, wife sells it and pockets the money without paying off our client's lien.

We filed suit against her, and her lawyer told the Court that throughout trial, he wanted to refer to his client as "the widow." I argued that was prejudicial, but if he did so, we would get to explain how she became a widow. We would get to explain that her husband learned she had been having a years long affair with his business partner, went to confront them one night, and shot the guy in the chest (but he survived). Husband then goes to his parents house and kills himself in the car. Business partner recovers, marries the widow, and then she cheats on him so they divorce.

Needless to say, her lawyer decided against referring to her as the widow.

Lol. But since she remarried, doesn't that mean she isn't a widow anymore?

You're probably not going to believe this, but this was discussed at length at our pretrial hearing. We made that argument, and opposing counsel got out the bible at the hearing and said it supports his version. I am not joking. Read portions of the Old Testament into evidence at the hearing.

Will never forget that. Lawyer on the other side was a nut. Calls himself, "the bulldog," and had a statue of a bulldog out in front of his office. He was once 500 pounds, and had lost about half of that weight, and actually looked like a bulldog with all the loose skin.

Wow... This story reminded me of the guy, so I looked him up. Seems he's been busy the last ten or so years.

I will believe it when I see it

You can't even fire many Federal bureaucrats

It will take years (if not decades) to bring sanity back to the Departments in DC

Lots of bureaucrats can be fired by eliminating their agencies.

No society can survive prioritizing criminals over honest citizens.

I am shocked but not shocked the morons in NYC decided to prosecute the guy.

Remember all the legacy media disinformation portraying the attacker as a sweet little Michael Jackson impersonator.

Amazing we have 1/3 of the country that basically believes the world is flat and birds aren't real.

Problem is, the mentally ill do not have to stay there. Addicts that are homeless prefer the street as well because most shelters do not allow substance abuse while on grounds.

I am very aware. I think we should make it easier to have people involuntarily committed. I know there were abuses decades ago but we over-corrected as a society.

Agreed

But until the public ( and attorneys ) are finally willing to reform our current Patients Rights Laws.......the mentally ill are almost impossible to place ( and keep ) in hospitals against their will.

Cops are often completely aware of the dangers associated with certain individuals...but their hands are tied.

Closing down the insane asylums was another horrible progressive liberal passion project

They probably needed some reform…but God knows they did not need to be shut down whole sale across the country

[1955: There were 340 psychiatric hospital beds for every 100,000 US citizens
2005: There were 17 psychiatric hospital beds for every 100,000 US citizens]

Good point; had forgotten about all the closures.

As a result almost ever psych ward in every city is FULL.

Another part of the problem is the use of narcotics which cause brain damage. Even heavy pot use can cause dangerous paranoia symptoms.
