Hwy 1, the coastal highway, has lots of beautiful scenery although I've only been on a short stretch.

I got to drive it for a project. Like CA or not, they do an excellent job of integrating the old school beach highway, state parks and development. I love the feel of that roadway, feel like I am driving an Eagles song...

Actually have a sign like this hanging in my office.

I would agree. Fix the party of your choice if you don't like it. However know that Democrats stay united based on whatever their leaders tell them to do. They almost only vote and stick together, no matter how bad a decision is. Trying to break apart the Republican party is going too go badly - if you don't like Democrat views

That is because it is a binary choice. Look at what happens in multi-party systems, the Progressives don't stick together any more than Conservatives. Bottomline is that most elections are either popularity contests or 1 issue elections. It is getting worse, we now have TV stars winning elections because of who they are.

I believe the feds can call in the national guard when they are being prevented from doing their job. I am really disgusted with Trump, but this view that fringe California's have, that they get to live life free of federal law enforcement, is peak snowflake.

I am glad that laws are being enforced. I am not glad that they have to be, and have a lot of sympathy for the law breakers, who are still being encouraged by politicians to break the law.... but we must be ruled by law.
