Yeah, let's go back the the disaster of the past half century. You need to unplug your internet.
It is non of our business. Let Isreal fight their own fight. Oh, did I mention that it is a serious violation of International Law? Yeah, son, let's just go take over the Palestinian land and send them elsewhere where no one wants them. Eff Isreal and Bibi.
I don't recall you saying that about Ukraine. Isn't it your position Biden did the right thing by proving billions in aid?

Or is it bad only when it occurs under Trump?

For the record, I agree with the premise - but believe it should apply to countries we were supporting under the Biden admin as well. But I am not a hypocrite.
I realize it takes a small amount of logic to understand the difference between having someone else fight your battle for you and fighting a battle for someone else.
Did you infer from Trump's statement that he's putting American troops on the ground to fight a battle? If so, you interpreted his statements very different than I did. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised at your assumptions.
I think this really sums up your intelligent level.
It's "intelligence," Brainiac. If you're going to call someone stupid, better be sure you don't look stupid in doing so.

But congrats on the ironic post of the year thus far. LOL

I'll bet you $1k we don't put our troops on the ground. Let me know if you're willing to put your money where your mouth is.
Great post.
For once, we agree.

Too big a ***** to take the bet, then?

I suspected as much.
All my money is tied up betting my family will die from cancer.
Trump is going to cure cancer. Just wait it out. Take that bet back!

Woah. Pretty big press conference with Bibi. Trump basically saying he's done with this 2-state failure of an experiment. He said its time to change course in Gaza and the USA will be involved. He is going to turn it into an international community and call it the Riviera of the Middle East where people can come from all over the world and live peacefully in a very nice community.

He's not wrong. The short lived Palestinian state has been a disaster. Time to try something else. 'Gaza is a hell-hole.'
riiigt. just pathetic. Let Isreal stand on their own. No more aid. I thought Trumpy Bear was a man of no wars. Who in the eff gives him the right to take over a piece of land in the Middle East. To use you RWNJs Merca first, why in the world would this be remotely palatable. Who in the hell does he think is going to develop the new Riviera? Trump and Jared. This takes grifting to a new level even for that POS. Truly unbelievable. Bibi is evil. Screw him as he is doing nothing but trying to save his own skin. Never, ever will happen and it shouldn't. Hello Hitler!

tin-man..(TBL).you did not answer the question. do you think this is a good idea?

Trump is doing amazing work so far ….but this Gaza plan ( as initially described ) is a horrible idea for a myriad of reasons .
why do you insist on taking him literally?

does it matter if it will work or not, or ever happens, as long as it changes perceptions among the key players?
because I guess I have a tendency to take serious people at their word. My bad.
history has shown you how you should take him, if you choose not to then that is on you..
yeah, its on me that he is a pathological liar. yep. Oh, btw. Saudi told Trump to pound sand today. They and the other Arab countries will not pay a dime for this farce. Who's left to pay? Merca!

The Saudis put 2 billion in Jared's fund, so I wouldn't bet on it. They will not be seen as directly contributing to pace between the Muslim world and Israel, obviously.
yes, I'm very aware of Saudi and Jareds $2B to keep his building out of bankruptcy. You think young Jared would have gotten $2B if pa pa wasn't pres? Saudi , Jordon and UAE told Trump to eff off. Anything short of a 2 state solution is a non starter. Trump looks like such a fool.
Hard to have a two state solution, when the Palestinian public overwhelmingly rejects the idea, and Hamas - an Iranian proxy - has the stated goal of the destruction of Israel and continues to try and scuttle any peace between the two. And of course, the other countries in the region, while saying they want a two-state solution, don't want it in practice, as they realize any Palestinian state will be a terrorist regime and proxy for Iran. There would likely already be two states if not for Hamas. But it's never going to happen.

I would say the fool is the individual who continues to suggest the same failed solution over and over, expecting different results. How long have we discussed a two state solution now? 3-4 decades? Only an idiotic buffoon believes anything short of a two state solution is a non-starter. As long as Hamas remains in charge, the real non-starter is a Palestinian state. It's never gonna happen.

Hamas is not the powerhouse it was 2 years ago, and by the way they are terrorists. Of course many Palestinians in Gaza won't come out against Hamas and support a democratic Palestinian state, in public anyway.

There are many Israelis and Palestinians who think co-existence cannot happen peacefully without some form of a Palestinian state. They must have agency, and therefore responsibility. As long as terrorism or Israel is their overlord, there will be violence.

Your assertion that this thinking is idiotic buffoonery is idiotic buffoonery. Nana Nana boo-boo.

A few things:

1. The buffoonery is thinking that its buffoonery not to believe that a two state solution is the only solution. And in that regard, I have approximately 80 years of bloody history to back me up.

2. All of the ideas about peace always seem to involve a bunch of hypotheticals that never actually happen. For example, your suggestion that the Palestinians might actually give up terrorism as a means to accomplish their goals. Again, I have approximately 80 years of history on my side that says that's never going to happen.

I suppose we can continue to pretend that these things are possible or come up with an alternative. I choose the alternative as opposed to continuing to bang our head against the wall for another 50+ years.

The Palestinians rejected the 2 state solution early in the emergence of Israel, because it felt to the majority too much like giving into invaders.
On the contrary, they supported it until 10 or 15 years ago. The main problem now is that they don't trust the Israelis to recognize it.

Outside of Trump's plan, since two state is ruled out, I guess the single state solution is the only way to go here. Can't keep people who want Hamas running things live next to civilized society. The US would never put up with it.

He's threatening to replace Hamas with the USA. Another non-islamic entity in the islamic world. Unless, of course, they step up and sponsor some different but meaningful and long-lasting solution.

He's saying he's not interested in simply resetting the same game board with the same pieces and the same players to simply do it all over again, mostly on the American dime.

He doesn't like the game, so he's upending the table, forcing the other players to completely rethink their positions.

It's hardly a shocker that you can't see it......
I understand your interpretation of Trump's shocking comments relating to the Gaza Strip; however even if you ( and Trump ) are 100% accurate why are we getting involved in the first place ?

Israel destroyed the Gaza Strip....let THEM pay to rebuild it.
Israel killed tens of thousands iof civilians.......let THEM provide for the survivors.

NONE of Trump's plans regarding the Gaza Strip is putting America First.
Not one American life; not one American dollar.

This could be an epic blunder; one that destroys his presidency and the rebuilding of America.

He will simply continue the war.

Unless Russia gives up at least some of the territory that is took over, I don't see this happening. Only, if you mention, that Ukraine gets to join NATO to protect itself from Russia in 5-10 years

Tired of winning already?
nope. so. you think this a good idea?, TBL
"The TDSers takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally."

tin-man..(TBL).you did not answer the question. do you think this is a good idea?

Well, since the Israelis were funding Hamas prior to 10/7, by your reasoning I guess they're the ones who should go.

Would not be surprised if it ends up where that if Russia gets the lands then Ukraine gets to be in Nato if it wants.

Does it seem that Ukraine must be in a much worse position then they are letting on if they accept as is?
Putin would never be able to maintain power if he agrees to allow Ukraine to join NATO.

He will simply continue the war.
Why? He validated the need for Ukraine to be in NATO by invading. Ukraine under Moscow's "protection" is like the fox watching the hen house.

It's not Palestinian land. That's the first issue. Secondly, why do no other Muslim countries (and there are plenty surrounding tiny Israel) want the Palestinians?
I do wish you would learn to spell Israel correctly, but maybe you think you're being cute by misspelling it.
Eff Israel? The chosen people of Jesus Christ. Are you truly that stupid? Or evil?
just stop with the Bible thumping. I could care less if they are chosen or not. They and particularly are bad actors and do not deserve or need our $ or armament .

Do you ever say this to Waco1947?

Because hundreds of thousands of Rusians have been killed or wounded.

Putin has to......

A. Keep most of the territory Russian troops have occupied.
B. Keep Ukraine out of NATO as he constantly argued prior to the war that this was vital to Russian security.

Otherwise he will be deposed.

But Putin is holding the cards.

Like it or not Russia is winning the war. Ukraine is running out of men and is in danger of having their defense lines collapse. Trump will not write the blank checks to Ukraine that Biden's puppet masters did.

In the end Ukraine will sign whatever Trump wants them to; and the Ukranian 'president' will flee with his life and millions. intact.

Willing to bet it ends differently, and I'll even go so far as to say part of the reason is because Trump is involved.

Probably not the best move by Russian state media to float around the Melania nudes. Just petty.

2. There never has been a "nation of Palestine"
3. The "Palestinian people" are a fake category like "Hispanic" created for politics
4. Everyone in the world hates them hence no other Arab nation will take them
5. I feel sorry for them but realize they get what they deserve - all of this is their fault

The funny thing is all 5 of these points apply equally to Jews and Israel.

Ukraine aid is finished.

I'm sure you made a lot of money off all the corruption that occurred with the Ukraine aid but your done now.

Not to get technical and derail the thread, but this is what I was referring to earlier about why the USA has such a thing for Israel.

They are no longer the chosen people of Christ. God divorced Judah just as he did her sister (Northern 10 tribes) Israel. Jeremiah 1-4.

Matthew 21 is Christ talking about how the kingdom would be taken away from the Jews and given to the Gentiles. Christianity would comprised of Jews that converted to Christianity and gentiles. 'The new testament version of Jerusalem' - the church of the firstborn - Heb 12:23-23.

Their old testament physical earthly kingdom would be destroyed and cast into the sea, like the fig tree that beareth no fruit.

I am not anti-Israel as an ally... For all the reasons Whiterock listed in his post. But we sort of have this underlying unspoken misguided belief that the Jews are STILL God's chosen people. They rejected Christ. They played the Harlot turning to Rome over God. So he 'cast them into the sea.'

The Jews are still God's chosen people but for different reasons. Reading the Book of Revelation makes it clear that they have a role to play in God's future plans.
