He may have enjoyed the show, but at the end of the day he's shrewd enough to know that this actually isn't good for Russia. I believe he wanted the US to broker peace. He's going to eventually get peace and his piece of the Ukraine, but now he's got to continue a costly war. Of course that's exactly what the West political cabal wants. They want to bleed Putin, but now they have to pay for it.

(Of course, that is if you believe that our Fed won't actually pony up through it's many back channels, which it will, but that's another topic)
