This is not only stupid in the first place, but what he doesnt know is that the ships propellers could easily suck him under and chop him up. I worked on cruise ships for 7 years. Happened to a couple of crew members and probably the one bride that got thrown overboard in 1988. I was First Purser on the Stardancer when it happened. On this honeymoon. A lady named Karen Roston went over the side - "blown" over per her husband, Scott. He wasnt a believable guy and ended up doing 36 years in prison

(sorry, not Political but had to put it somewhere)

She would not get a phone back at all and would be working to pay for a new tailgate.

I don't get why more parents (really all) don't get their kids the phones made specifically for kids. The ones that they control everything like what apps are on it, numbers in contacts, when it can be used, etc. .

As a side it will be interesting to see what happens in Texas as schools start back with the new law banning phones in schools for kids.

Yes. Technically it doesn't go into place until September 1 but many schools are enforcing it from day one. It allows schools to confiscate the phone and charge parents to get it back (which many schools used to do or still did).

It has already upset lots of parents who want their baby to be able to bypass the law and keep their phone. Which was much of the problem with phones in schools to begin with. The parents constantly texting.

Hopefully it also cuts down on social media bullying, fights, etc.

Do they have a place to store them, then get them back after school?

That would make the most sense as I would guess, the parents get a call when the kids are ready to be picked up. The way I remember it, you damn well better be outside at a certain time or you'll be walking!
