An observation: Cornyn seems to have focused his efforts on knocking Hunt out of the race. It appears he assumes that those voters will default to him.

From DMN:

Attorney General Ken Paxton, Cornyn's main opponent, is one of the most ethically compromised men in American politics today.

Despise Paxton. He's a complete idiot. Cornyn has my vote.

Name one thing Cornyn has done in the last 24 years as Senator that improved this country.

Cornyn has ideas and a record of delivering for Texans. He has years of conservative legislative accomplishments to point to, including lower taxes, federal reimbursements for border security and a commitment to law and order.

Paxton was credibly charged in an impeachment with selling out his office, partly for gain and partly to further an alleged extra-marital affair. His wife, state Sen. Angela Paxton, stood by him during his impeachment, only to file for divorce on biblical grounds later after another alleged affair. This from a man who demands the Ten Commandments be posted in schools.

What has Cornyn done to reduce H1-Bs and Federal spending (lower the debt)?

The national debt was $6 trillion when Cornyn assumed office. Today is close to $40 trillion

Do you actually think having Paxton in there would have changed that? Do you think Cornyn is the issue on the deficit?

Well Texas still has open primaries for some stupid reason... so if what you say is true they'll all vote for Paxton and Cornyn really has zero chance.

Well let's see... there are only a couple hundred people who actually have a direct say on the federal budget out of a population of 400 million...

So yeah I'd say Cornyn is to blame for the massive out-of-control government spending... if he isnt responsible, who is?

The national review ceased to be a conservative mouthpiece a long time ago. In fact, if you look at Bill Buckley's history, his entire legacy as a conservative icon is at risk.

Hunt must have some real traction to get that much attention from Cornyn's attack dogs.

Cornyn is trying to make sure he makes the runoff. Attacking Hunt presumes that Hunt voters are anti-Paxton voters. Not saying that is a good plan. Saying it's the best plan Cornyn has....a very limited and rapidly narrowing window to pull out a surprise win.

I'll probably vote for Hunt in the primary, but Paxton is going to win it.

I'm still not sure of my vote. Don't like any of these three, especially when I have to trust our Senator to stand up for more than lobbyists and whoever he thinks he owes for his success (which somehow is never the average voter). .
