So to be clear, the opinion of mine, reposted below, is what you are against and believe to be the root of the problem?

"Go back to what I believe is the root of the problem, open immigration and a welfare state.

If laws had been enforced, expectations held equally high for all immigrants and citizens, a large majority of this would not be happening today.

Look at the black family in the US. As soon as the racism and politics of low expectations started replacing fathers with a check the percentage of nuclear families started to decline.

PP didn't put abortion clinics in mine and your neighborhood but put them in the black/minority neighborhoods.

Those things impact a culture.

In the 50s, black families were making incredible, positive strides. Some laws and expectations were not being equally enforced but as a group there were many positives.

Democrats combined with academia and rather than coarse correcting, they swung the pendulum well to the other side. And here we are today with the black family destroyed and low expectations being lived out.

It's real easy to make the same mistake as the Dems and academia did but swinging that pendulum the other direction."

SidebySide Comparison: Population Share vs. Welfare Participation Rate (SNAP)
U.S. Population Share (20242025)
(from Censusbased figures summarized in the welfare dataset) The Global Statistics
  • White: ~58%
  • Black: ~12%
  • Hispanic (any race): ~19%
  • Asian: ~6%
  • Native American / Alaska Native: ~1.3%
SNAP Participation Rate (Percent of each group receiving food stamps)
(from FY20232024 SNAP demographic data) The Global Statistics
  • White: 11.1%
  • Black: 17.2%
  • Hispanic: 15.8%
  • Asian: 9.7%
  • Native American / Alaska Native: 17.3%
  • White Americans make up the largest number of recipients (because they are the largest group), but their rate of participation is below average.
  • Black and Native American households participate at the highest rates, well above their population share.
  • Hispanic households are moderately above their population share.
  • Asian households have the lowest participation rate of any major group.
These patterns align with the poverty rates reported in the same dataset:
  • Black poverty: 18.4%
  • Hispanic poverty: ~16.6%
  • Native American poverty: ~20.9%
  • White poverty: 7.7%

Really?
Some might blame it on white folks who said slaves were three-fifths of a person and kept them from having AND free to practice the same rights equally until approximately the boomer generation. Others like to keep it a more complex issue simple. But, I'm a white male who for too long in life thought I made it on my own.

This is a great example of why I said use your brain and logic.

Using the above logic then all of your USS Liberty postings mean nothing.

If you want them to count for something then this response must count for something.

Starting to think that "teen" has become coded language:

KANSAS CITY, Kan. Three Wyandotte County teens each face a first-degree murder charge for the shooting death Sunday of well-known sports talk radio personality Jimmy Dodds.

Dodds, 64, who was known to the sports talk radio audience as "Uncle Jimmy," lived at a home in the 3000 block of 82nd Terrace in Kansas City, Kansas.

Aaron Johnson, Mark Nash Junior, and Marquel McGee, all of them 18, are being held at the Harvey County Detention Center in Newton, Kansas.

"Some of his family members knew the individuals. So, it stemmed from a disagreement. But once again, we're seeing people's inability to control their anger," said Kansas City, Kansas Police Chief Karl Oakman.
According to his landlord, Michelle Karanja, Dodds was sitting in his car behind a Chevy Tahoe when he was shot.

There's a visible bullet hole on the back passenger side of the Tahoe.

"My husband was home working on the deck, and he heard three gunshots go off, and he started looking around for it. And then soon after, the ambulance and everything showed up," Karanja said.

Chief Oakman said this fatal shooting is part of a pattern of youth violence.

For that reason, KCKPD has been targeting gangs.
