He was carrying a phone to record the officers. The gun was in the back of his belt and was removed by an officer while he was on the ground, before he was shot.
He brought a gun and attacked cops.
A camera does not make that legal, safe, or wise.
The left isn't going to care about minor details like this. They will blame ICE and Trump. They will bring in Jack Smith and prosecute.
Where did he attack the cops?
While conducting the operation, a man approached "U.S. Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semiautomatic handgun."
Officers tried to disarm the man but he "violently resisted."
A photo released by DHS and published by CNN shows the 9mm handgun which was found at the scene where federal agents in Minneapolis shot the armed man.
"Violently resisted"

if by "with a gun" you mean drew a gun or tried to draw a Gun, he didnt
If by "with a gun" you mean, had a gun on his person but never appeared to try and draw it or use it in any way, then sure, but that shouldn't mean he should be murdered

The problem with this? The video doesn't support what you're saying.
A video is now on Reddit and shows the grey coated officer clearly pulling the gun off of the back or side of his belt before the shots were fired, he is the only one that was going for the mans gun. The mans hands were both pinned to the ground.
It also shows very clearly he was simply trying to cover the woman who was being assaulted, when he was slammed to the ground, beaten, assaulted, whipped with a cannister, pepper sprayed and then after his gun was ripped out of his belt, summarily executed.
On Reddit is called, "Footage of grey coat officer retrieving the gun."
Very clearly that ICE agent lost his cool with the whistling and women screaming at him and that's why he escalated by pepper spraying and taking the man down...

If this exact situation had happened in England, the Cops would likely have not been carrying Firearms so the worst thing the victim would have would be a few bruises, a Taser mark and a night in Jail.

I guess the Left is getting what they want
Having mobs of activists chase agents around on the streets while they try to do their legal jobs of arresting illegal aliens.
Officers just trying to do their jobs and get home safe.
Activists harassing them, yelling at them, spitting at them, charging at them with cars and using cars to stop hard in front of them.
Escalating and harassing at every moment and in every way possible.
And now they have gotten what they wanted and pushed an officer into making what looks like a bad shooting decision.
Well done liberals…well ****ing done

Don't put this on the left.
Minneapolis is a below average population city that is on no one's radar. This administration has targeted the citizens of this city because it votes blue. I can't think of another president that has intentionally targeted citizens.
That is easily proven by citing your source that told you ICE isn't in any other cities or states right now. So, you know, by all means...Mitch Blood Green said:Redbrickbear said:Jack Bauer said:Forest Bueller III said:Mitch Blood Green said:ScottS said:Oldbear83 said:Sam Lowry said:

Honest eyes see idiots attacking cops with cars and guns.
Dishonest posters will also excuse Somali 'daycares' and demand law enforcement submit to violent mobs.
Show me where this guy pulled his gun on the 5 ICE cops beating him down...
Your claim, your job to prove it,
He brought a gun, no one is even denying that.
He confronted cops while carrying the gun, no one is denying that.
He had extra ammunition on him, no one is denying that.
He became violent and was shot as a result, his gun being an undeniable factor.
It's really pretty obvious for sane people.
I have to prove his innocence? i don't think that's how the law works.
Show me where he pulled the gun to deserve being shot?
You can't reason with a true believer.
I didn't see him pull his gun,or go for his gun.
I did see someone pull something off of his belt and run away moments before the shots were fired.
I did see him getting the hell beaten out of him.
I hope a fair investigation will be held.
My observation:
- The guy is filming ICE
- He stands in the street for a moment but does not impede ICE
- He goes to comfort one woman who ICE had apparently assaulted, then the other woman that ICE pushed to the ground.
- He gets pepper sprayed and puts his hand up to deflect it.
- He tried to help the woman up off the ground.
- As he is trying to help her up, ICE grabs him, he falls down. 3 ICE agents fall on top of him while slipping on the ice. Everybody in a scrum on the ground
- Guy in black hat sees/hears gun and shoots victim a few seconds before the guy in the grey had disarmed him and was taking it to the car.
Whether when/if he pulled the gun will have to be a more detailed investigation. But I see no reason why the pepper sprayed him and should have just told him to stay on the sidewalk.
Sadly the two women got ICE all riled up and they lost their temper and took it out on this guy.

Quote:
A pardoned Capitol rioter was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
Court documents obtained by CBS News said Christopher Moynihan was arrested Sunday after saying in text messages that he planned to "eliminate" Jeffries when the top House Democrat spoke at the Economic Club of New York in New York City on Monday, Oct. 20.
According to a court filing by prosecutors in the New York state criminal case, Moynihan wrote, "Hakeem Jeffries makes a speech in a few days in NYC I cannot allow this terrorist to live."
Moynihan also allegedly stated: "Even if I am hated, he must be eliminated, I will kill him for the future," the filing said.
Frankly, this reaction makes me wonder if the shooting was justified. That a US Attorney would be this irresponsible suggests he is not alone. Every American has the right to keep and bear arms, even in the presence of law enforcement. https://t.co/jQcTApxxEU
