Kendall's Immediate Takes on Baylor's Loss at Texas

Lots of ways to take this one. Baylor probably shouldn’t have been in the game--Texas went 6-of-15 from three in the second half, while Baylor went 2-of-11.

But the Bears had chances. The Bears couldn’t get stops when needed, and Texas made free throws down the stretch. Then Marcus Carr hit one heck of a shot.

*Texas is very good - Timmy Allen has underachieved at times. You could argue the same for most of this roster.

This looks like a reference to Everyday Jon. While we all look forward to his return to playing, wouldn't it be best for him to sit out the rest of the year to fully recover and get back into game mode? Getting thrown into the gauntlet of Big 12 play could be a nightmare for any player coming after a long pause, even someone with EJ's talents.

If his only goal is to get 10 or 12 back up minutes, and everyone is ok and on the same page with that, then I say let him play if healthy. No one can expect the EJ from our natty run even EJ himself.

Typical game for the Bears. You don't know who in the hell is going to show-up. 3-3 point shooters and all three could not make it. Defense was terrible. Thamba gets 2 fouls within the first 3 minutes of the game. Really, what positive thing came out of this game.

Developing consistency is just hard with college players. Consistent defense is about the only thing you can truly achieve, at least consistently executing a defensive game plan. Seems we have a ways to go.
