When you don't lose much you can't recruit a ton of kids. Our team was young last year. Do you think giving these FR and SO a chance to build again with an extended Offseason is going to be worse? We are definitely winning more than 6 games next season. Then keep building in 2025.

Some of yall are still too emotional and not looking at the direction things are going now. Baylor has been on a roller coaster for a while since Rhule took the job. We do terrible when the team is young and then great when that group is older. We are at the Mid Point for the coming season so expect a 4th - 10th finish in the Big 12 next season. Then 2025 is our year.

We filled most of our needs already so i'm not worried about this specific recruiting year. Now if it continues next year we can worry about it.

More than 6 wins next year? With our schedule, roster, and coaching I will go all in on that bet!
Maybe, but that is the way bookies make their money. "Obvious" or "all in" situations have a tendency in sports to often end up not being too obvious. How many people here would have or did lose their shirts by betting "the house" on WVU covering a 3.5 point spread against us in the last game of the season?

There are too many variables in college football for me to go all in on anything, especially when we don't even know for certain what our roster will be next year and how these new guys will perform. Just this past season, we could have won 1 game or we could have won 7 because of just one 50-50 play in a game going or not going our way. Similar thing in 2022, and even in 2021. In 2021 we had those types of plays all go our way, including the "butt" non-fumble. There is nothing guaranteed in sports, good or bad. I suspect that next year will be like everything else....not as good as some say or would like and not as bad as others confidently predict.

We were at least 3 plane crashes away from winning 7 games this year, not 1 play a game. Most of the teams just had to show up healthy to beat us. We were a horrible team.

Bless your heart. Hyped up on all that kool-aid and following (hit the) Rhoades up that sunshine-filled hill and dying on it.

Looking back, I mis-counted. I should have said 6 games.

We stop Utah on one play at the end of the game....that gets us to 4 wins.
We stop WVU anywhere on the last drive that we had stopped pretty much the entire 4th quarter or Hankins makes field goals made all year....that gets us to 5 wins.
We stop UH on a 2-point conversion....that gets us to 6 wins.

Sure, the other wins we had except for Long Island could have been losses as well. But I stated we could have only won 1 game. It didn't take much good or bad to swing the win total from 1 to 6.

My point of the post was that nothing in sports is guaranteed regardless of how you assess the situation. Really dumb to bet on "sure" things in sports. They seldom are. It would be interesting to know how much money Baylor fans lost on going with WVU in the last game.

So you're claiming Baylor just had some bad luck? Bless your green-n-gold heart......

(literally) EVERY team in the country has a list of reasons why they didn't win more. It's irrelevant, silly jibber jabber for and between fans.

Results are real, and factual. And Baylor football's reality is that they sucked in 2023 and performance on the field has progressively declined with each year under Aranda........facts.

Although no one really wanted it, the "7 plane crashes" analogy is a more accurate excuse.

Your response might have been a legitimate response to another post, but it had nothing whatsoever to do with what I said. You never read the last paragraph of my post did you?
