You hit the nail on the head. Drive from Dallas is close to 2 hours, and there's work and school in the morning. And other tomfoolery.

We all have lives that might interfere with a weeknight game. It's not surprising at all that there are empty seats. On the other hand, it's too bad more if those season tickets holders didn't find a way to give those tickets to students or other Baylor fans to help "Fill the Foster". We certainly don't want many opposing fans at our games.

Cincinnati has one of the "byes" this week, so their next opponent isn't until UH on Saturday. Then, UH has a bye early next week before playing its "next game after UC" when they host UT at the Fertitta Center. If they lose that game.................

Completely agree. I believe there is a sort of moral obligation for season ticket holders to ensure there is a butt in their seats even if it is not theirs.

Of course, it's also easy for me to say what someone else should do with something they own, at considerable cost. I don't blame owners of expensive tickets wanting some cash for tickets they don't use. It's a dilemma because in theory they can get decent money for tickets through a third party or Sicem365's exchange but at some point they can't & we end up with empty seats. And for people like me it's almost impossible because tickets are still too expensive. At least I can go to some WBB games!

I know one season ticket holder who offered 2 FREE tickets last night to several people who lived in Waco who could not or did not use them. They were offered to me and a family member who live in Dallas, but we couldn't make the trip down on a Tuesday night. On his behalf, I offered the tickets to 4 other sets of people and couldn't find any takers either. I imagine that, like the season ticket holder to whom I referring, MANY season ticket holders who can't be there try their hardest to get Baylor butts in their seats. Sometimes it just doesn't happen, but it's not for lack of trying.

Good point. It's the reality of these kinds of events: even people who would like to attend might not be able because they aren't available on short notice. They might be working, have done another event planned for weeks in advance, be unable to travel the distance because of early morning work, or any of a dozen other reasons. Families multiply those issues. So do weeknight games. So many variables complicate things.

I wish I could suggest a solution.

Well in that case, I may have stepped over the line. I rephrase: I believe season ticket holders have a moral obligation to attempt to ensure that butts are in the seat, even if it's not their butts.


In this case, the season ticket holder made reasonable efforts to try and is thus morally off the hook.
