Positives

  • Complete domination from start to finish against a young Tarleton State team who was missing a lot of key players due to injury.
  • 1.46 points per possession according to KenPom and only allowing Tarleton 0.58 points per possession.
  • Won the turnover battle 27-12 and rebounding 41-18.  Particularly impressive was only giving up 2 offensive rebounds.  The defense was aggressive and active.
  • VJ Edgecombe puts up stats.  17 points; 5 rebounds; 2 assists; 3 blocks; 4 steals.
  • Loved the energy that Josh Ojianwuna played with tonight.
  • Guards are so good- Roach, Nunn, Edgecombe, Wright really controlled the game from start to finish.
  • Loved seeing the efforts from Celestine and Asemota.

Needs Work

  • Tarleton State gets you playing ugly but there were a few bad turnovers by Baylor- particularly Roach early in the game and then Edgecombe for a stretch in the second half.
