Great stuff

Stories like this just make you feel really great about life. We should always be happy for the success of those who work hard for their achievements. Thanks for posting this.

This is what makes Josh Cameron one of my favorite Baylor Bears of all time. Dude went from a walk-on to a potential NFL receiver/punt returner through sheer grit, determination and belief in himself.

I love overachievers who make the absolute most of their God-given ability.

Because it wasn't targeting. His helmet never touches any part of the QBs helmet or facemask.

Technically head or neck, but even still this was a clean hit.

Plus, Jennings wasn't sliding. It was kind of him awkwardly sitting down. He was giving himself up, but he wasn't down, and he definitely didn't slide.

I said the same thing when they threw the flag. A slide is different than just falling backwards while running.

The slide rule sucks because it is so open to interpretation. They ultimately got it right but that could have been a huge blow.

Was this our first trip to play them at home since 95? I seem to recall we played them on the road in odd numbered years in the SWC days.

We opened the 2015 season at SMU. We had a pretty decent sized group in the same section. Nothing like T Rex's 300+.

I did not realize it was four road wins since the last home win.

Got that off the Iowa State site. The Cyclones may be a handful this year

They may be for someone, but not us unless we play them in the championship game.

Great win today! Sure beats losing. My frustrations with Coach Aranda remain, but I admit the players seem to never give up the effort no matter the circumstances. Defense played somewhat better in the 2nd half. Lack of a better run game could spell trouble for the offense at some point.

Quarterback great. So calm in the pocket with a rocket arm and accurate most of the time. Excellent receiving core. Can we expect Sawyer to throw it 55 times a game? I simply don't see a better quarterback around.

Finally I would remind everyone concerning Aranda's decision making and maybe Spavital that they chose Dequan Finn over Sawyer Robertson at the beginning of last season for two games and he could not throw the ball at all. Looking at Sawyer throw the football, with his calmness in the pocket, his throwing motion, I do not know how that decision was possible. Most of us on this board could have seen which was the more accomplished passer.

Still I will try to remain optimistic as we move forward this year and hope the staff can make the corrections necessary to put the team in a good place.

I'm with you on DeQuan Finn. How in the heck did that happen other than the NIL they committed to him. That should have never been a deciding factor

As I recall the previous year, Sawyer had trouble with INTs. That may have had something to do with it.

That is a real possibility: Baylor vs Iowa State in Arlington in December. Texas Tech @ BYU are other possibilities that we won't play until then this year. We must win several more games first. Only ISU has a conference win now.

I think you are correct about INTs. He's improved!

I didn't remember an INT problem from him so I looked it up.

He had 4 in the 6 games he played in and 117 attempts. That doesn't seem to say "problem" to me.

However that same year Finn had 9 interceptions on 317 attempts.

Not great but also not a INT problem but also to me doesn't show that either of them were head and shoulders better with the ball just from the previous years stats.
