MANHATTAN, Kansas – Baylor (13-12, 3-9) travels to Kansas State (10-15, 1-11) on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m. CT, at Bramlage Coliseum, as the Wildcats will be playing their first game since parting ways with head coach Jerome Tang. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

Sad thing is I think the football is going to be even worse next year.

The basketball team may still be, too.

Call me a blasphemer if you must, but I have zero faith in Scott Drew's ability to turn this around at this point. We just head farther in the wrong direction every season.

So if Drew has a losing record against his former assistants then that proves they were what made the program great. They're gone and it's a train wreck. Where does Doug go to assure a rebuild?

The one I would want would have been available a year ago, but now with his success he's pretty much sewn up by money bags and his family likes it out there. It will have to be option 2, 3 or 4 now.

Doug is close to Drew and Drew fought for Doug to be chosen AD over actual candidates who were ADs. Drew is now here as long as he wants regardless of results barring something like a winless season.

McNamee needs to have a come to Jesus meeting with his basketball coach and make it clear in no uncertain terms that this current product is absolutely unacceptable.

It's been said in here that CSD was a part of helping to get McNamee on board. Not sure Doug can turn the heat up...but hope he can.

It's Drew's fault he lost all of his players… he absolutely sucks (nowadays) and building rosters. Drew needs to spend a good week studying what Otz and Sampson are doing roster wise. What he's doing don't working

He probably should go to a destination program. We are not one. I fear that Baylor can't compete at this level of college athletics under the portal and NIL.

Drew will be condemned to rebuilding a team every single year, whocj will result in a losing program, brand devaluation, and fans apathy.

I think Baylor leadership is aware of our limitations, which is why Dave Aranda is still a head football coach at the P4 level: we know we can't compete no matter whom you put in there.

Baylor has a larger Nick fund than Iowa St. the same ISU team who's like 24-3 and ranked in the top 10. This isn't an issue of Bizl it's an issue af poor roster construction over and over

That wasn't something that just happened to him. He caused that with the way he recruited and ran his program.

He has no one to blame but himself for the current state of his roster and program. And he's the only one who can currently fix it.

I think our leadership knew where we were trending when they decided to build a venue with only a couple thousand more seats thana high school venue and kept a football coach who wouldn't have a chance at another HC job at the FBS level right now.

If he was truly embarrassed then he would give back his $5M salary from this year...and we have people on this site who "in there expert knowledge of basketball" believe that Drew has 5 more years of poor performance before any "pressure" should be put on Drew. There is a reason he pushed so hard for Doug as the AD...

If we are a .500 team next year with another complete roster build, I predict Drew retires within the following 2 years or so...He won't be coaching from Baylor's bench when he hits 60.

I'm starting to think there's a chance he retires this year. It doesn't look like he's invested. Recruiting next year isn't looking like he's going to land the one and dones he's obsessed with. He got his buddy the AD job. What's left for him to accomplish?

A 70 yr ornery guy and a decent coach from unlv have figured it out. Try mimicking them.

The "reserve judgement" was over after last year. The verdict is in. Now the only question is if this failure can be turned around. We don't know
