When was the last time we saw good Mario? His recent play infuriates me. Rim for ISU is 10 feet wide today. At least we'll get a week of rest before some middle of the road SEC or B1G team comes calling.

I think we've just run out of gas. Losing McClure and Mason, neither of which has been the same since his injury, pretty much sunk any hopes this team had.

They've overachieved so much this year but they're playing like they probably should've once Clark went down. B12 too good a league not to adjust.

This team just isn't healthy. If Mason and McClure were healthy and in rhythm, we'd look a lot more like the team we were during the six-game win streak. But that hasn't been the case in a month and won't be the rest of the way.

Ironically, the last decent or better 40 minute game we played was against these guys on their home floor. Since then, two skin of the teeth home wins against depleted opponents missing multiple key players and the rest losses. The overtime UT home game is probably the last win we're going to see this season.

I would have liked to have seen what this team could have done if Mason, and to a lesser degree King, had stayed healthy. I think we'd have two or three more wins at a minimum. But it is what it is. A team can only withstand so much.

Agree. There's still hope to get hot next weekend, certainly. We'll see what the matchup is. It's not diminishing what they did this season.

I can't figure out what coach thinks his role is. When things go bad, he seems like the kind of guy that can give you a spark.

Watching Iowa State when they play well, it's hard to see how this team ever loses. That team is way too talented to have 11 losses.

Teams took the exact same number of shots (58) and the exact same number of three-pointers (25). ISU just happened to hit 5 more shots, 4 of which were threes. ,

It didn't matter. This game was lost on the defensive end, and Mayer doesn't help you there. You have to make stops to make a comeback, and we couldn't do that today.

This game was decided early in the second half when Haliburton hit back-to-back 3s to answer Baylor buckets. If we come up with stops on either or both of those possessions, we might have been able to grab some momentum and feed off that. But the ISU freshman made sure that didn't happen.

We got the IowaSt that won in Lubbock & Manhattan, not the IowaSt that got bulldozed in Morgantown and twice by TCU.

Don't think many teams would have beaten ISU today. A team that relies heavily on the money ball won't go far in the tournament, but they have potential. It will all be about matchups for us in the dance. If we face a team that shoots heavily on 3s, we are in trouble.

Team Shooting: Iowa State 51,7% (They were 52.0% shooting 3's) Baylor 43.1%. 22 baskets combined from 3-point range, but Iowa State made 13 of them. Despite the loss, 4 Baylor players finished with double figure scoring, led by Mario Kegler with 16. Unfortunately, Baylor will take a 4-game losing streak (19-13 overall record) into the 2019 NCAA MBB Tournament. .

Those aren't fans. Those are band-wagoners.

ISU on a similar losing streak coming in. You don't see their fans bailing.
