Illinois is a paper tiger. Look for them to have an early exit in March.

Will JTT be back for Kansas?

The game highlights how important JTT is to us, and how thin we are at the 4 and 5.

Exactly. We desperately needed an eligible Dainja for this reason exactly

Or a healthy Tristan Clark

You are both correct, but we don't have either

I just hope that isn't the thing that keeps this team from accomplishing all its capable of.

And if JTT isn't available for Kansas, I've got a feeling they're going to beat us by double digits in Lawrence.

This game illustrates how thin our margin for error is. And why i think Gonzaga has a slight edge...if they had been off 21 days i think they handle iowa state..because they can throw it down low for offense if theyre shots arent falling...we cant do that..

We finally agree. I said all off season Clark was the key to March. When he went down I was real concerned. That's starting to rear it's ugly head.

Yeah I already had a bad feeling. Because KU is starting to peak. But without him McCormick will have a career day

BU tonight - 43.5 FG% - 32.0 3pt% - 71.4 FT%
BU season - 50.7 FG% - 43.9 3pt% - 70.4 FT%

ISU tonight - 48.3 FG% - 47.6 3pt% - 80 FT%
ISU season - 42.0 FG% - 32.1 3pt% - 77 FT%

After a 3 week layoff, I think our guys will be just fine

I just chuckled when I glanced over at UT and see they are 3 of 17, yes 3 of 17 for 18% from 3 against KU.

Other than tonight, we've been one of the top 3 defensive teams, if not the best, in the country and for some strange reason everyone seems to have career nights from 3 against us.

We have a hill to climb. Covid obviously numbs your muscles and kills your senses. Or maybe if you can't practice because of an artificial restraint it messes things up.

It is very rare that our outside scoring is off like it was tonight - if we had to have a game like that, I'm glad it was against them. We will be in the final 4. Kansas playing better tonight - hope JTT is back and healthy

Or maybe a little of both.

Jelly legs come from either sitting on the sofa eating Goo Goo Clusters for 3 weeks or something negative that has happened within your body. I saw multiple guys with jelly legs, and I don't think for one minute it came from sitting on the sofa eating Goo Goo Clusters. Even without team practice, these guys are finely tuned athletes who continue to work out on their own. Drew rotated and rotated and rotated throughout, and guys like Mayer saw very little playing time even when his height was needed at times.

I'll give you lack of practice as the reason why shots didn't fall as usual, but I don't buy lack of practice as the explanation for what I saw from several of the guys. Sorry. Don't believe in COVID, believe in COVID, I don't care. I know what I saw and I saw physical challenges with several of the guys.

I was at the Ferrell Center tonight and the basketball game was too close for comfort. I'm not surprised Baylor looked flat and rusty in the 1st Half. It was frustrating to watch Baylor keep the score close, but not taking the lead for the 1st time until 3:57 to play in the 2nd Half. Thankfully, it's a win to remain undefeated overall, and in Big XII Conference play.

Nothing wrong with eating GooGoo Clusters; they are God's candy bar!

I love the Goo Goo!!!!!! Maybe that's why I'm not a finely tuned athlete?

It's the curse of being the hunted. Our opponents often play up the their competition. Thankfully, we rarely play down to theirs. Harris shooting 62.5% from 3 is an aberration that I can't remember seeing until now.

After going down by 17, for the rest of the game, we came within 1 point of the pregame line. Without JT2.

We are human. Practiced only 2 times in the last 21 days. And it showed.

I sit on the second row. We were gassed. Vital played most of the game with his tongue hanging out.

Yes, I was disappointed we didn't "dominate'. But in retrospect, am very proud we showed to grit to come back from 17 down.

And ISU played their butts off. Guarded us as good on the perimeter as anybody has all year. We didn't have many open shots from 3. In the second half, we started taking the ball to the basket and it helped.

But IMO, we won with defense. They made 3 FGs in the last 7 minutes. That is defense.
