Sloppy first 13 minutes of basketball by the Baylor Bears. 10 turnovers already. Kansas State shooting at least 60%. They are getting too many points near the basket. Shocking to see Baylor with such a slim lead. Bears need to elevate their level of play on both ends of the basketball court the final 7 minutes of the 1st Half.

Rough first 13, if we can get the lead to 10 by the half I think will pull away comfortably. Don't want to let KSU have any hope. Bury them this last 6 minutes

Agreed. Post player screens and switches are gonna hurt us. That's about our only weakness. A top rated big man can get 30 on us

Kansas State is having more fun than Baylor in this Quarterfinal. The Baylor Bears need to play much better basketball the remaining 3+ minutes before Halftime.

This is why I wanted TCU. Baylor came out thinking they could show up today and win by 40. KSU officially believes they have a chance. Gotta get this lead north of 5 before half

Overall defense just not playing well at all. We look nothing like we did earlier in the year defensively, and where it all starts with this team.

This half was so pathetic... they don't have their heads in this game at all. Turnovers all over the place, terrible passes, guys lazy defense, and letting the big for KSU just walk to the bucket with zero challenge off a switch.

Very disappointing 1st Half for the Baylor Bears. 8 assists and 13 turnovers allowed the Kansas State Wildcats to keep the score close. Baylor shot 54.5% in the 1st Half, but Kansas State was a respectable 48.0%. At least Jared Butler and Davion Michell each had double figure scoring. I trust Scott Drew and his coaching staff to make the proper Halftime adjustments, and we'll see a much better team effort by the Baylor Bears in the final 20 minutes.

For the oldtimers around here, this reminds me of the 1988 Darryl Middleton/Micheal Williams team that was the first to go the the NCAAs since the 1950 FF. They beat Tech 91-49 in the final week of the regular season to finish second in the conference. Tech finished 7th, so they met again in the first round of the conference tournament. Middleton had to tip in a missed shot with less than 3 seconds left for BU to advance 54-53.

Yep. I was listening to the Tech game on the radio at the office (incidentially, it was the 1:30pm game 33 years ago today). Was at the Arkansas game the following evening when James Francis and an Arky post fought over a rebound and ran off the final 2-3 seconds after Arky missed a game winning layup. Lots of pissed folks in red nylon windbreakers and doubleknit pants. We ran out of gas in the finals in the last 4 minutes: had a 60-55 lead at the under 4 TO but got outscored 20-4 down the stretch to lose to SMU.
