Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Ezekiel Elliott suffered bruised ribs against the Rams, but he is not worried about his availability. Elliott was listed on the injury report with a chest issue Wednesday, but he practiced in full. There does not seem to be any reason to worry about him suiting up against the Packers.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said LT Tyron Smith (back) will not practice Thursday. Smith was forced from practice Wednesday with what Garrett called back tightness. It is a big concern after he was forced to miss two games last year with a back injury. Garrett is hopeful the tackle will be able to get in some work Friday. Byron Bell will get the start if Smith cannot play against the Packers.

Hassan Reddick is a beast with the Cardinals - he has moved from starting ILB to starting OLB with injuries, Dion Dawkins has moved into Buffalo's starting lineup at LT as a rookie. Packers LT David Bakhtiari (hamstring) is questionable for Week 5 against the Cowboys.

Davante Adams WR (concussion) is questionable for Week 5 against the Cowboys. Adams was a limited participant at all three practices this week, a relative shock given the menacing hit he took against Chicago in Week 4. There are still hurdles to clear, however, as Adams has yet to officially clear the concussion protocol.

RB Ty Montgomery (ribs) is listed as doubtful for Week 5 against Dallas. There was some early speculation Montgomery could play through two broken ribs, but he's going to miss at least one week. Jamaal Williams has been removed from the injury report and won't miss any time with his knee sprain. The Packers figure to go with a committee to replace Montgomery, though Aaron Jones is the better bet for carries after a strong showing last week

Packers DT Mike Daniels (hip) plans to return for Week 5 against the Cowboys. Daniels is one of the NFL's most-dominant interior defensive linemen, so it's a big get for Packers DC Dom Capers' unit. In Green Bay's first two games, Daniels logged 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

I'm concerned that Taco Charlton isn't making an impact at this point.

Haven't seen much from that guy.

Sean Lee is questionable for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers because of a hamstring strain but he has not practiced in two weeks and is looking at missing his second straight game. Anthony Hitchens, however, will make his season debut after going through three straight full practices. Tyron Smith (back) and La'el Collins (ankle) are also listed as questionable, but they are expected to play.

FPI: COWBOYS HAVE SLIGHT EDGE AT HOME

ESPN's FPI gives Dallas a narrow advantage over Green Bay at Jerry World, though each of these teams beat the other as a road underdog last season. Only one Week 5 game is more evenly matched by FPI's measure.

Cowboys activated DL David Irving from the reserve/exempt list. Irving will make his debut Sunday against the Packers. Coming off a strong finish to 2016, Irving should see heavy snaps in the Cowboys' rotation.

ESPN Dallas expects LT Tyron Smith (questionable, back) to play Sunday against the Packers. Smith looked unlikely to play after missing practice the last two days, but that may have been rest related. It would be a downgrade to the entire Cowboys offense if he sits. Dallas also listed RT La'el Collins (ankle) as questionable.

Davante Adams has cleared the concussion protocol and is expected to play in Sunday's game with Dallas. Adams won't miss any time despite getting stretched off on a helmet-to-helmet hit last week. He had been trending toward playing after traveling with the team on Saturday. Adams is off to a slow start, but has at least 60 yards or a touchdown in three-of-four games.
