Additionally, the close proximity all of those offerings share with Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indianapolis Convention Center make for quite a convenient overall event.
The Cowboys have long held a plan to pry away the scouting combine from Indianapolis. The Star was designed to host 12,500 fans while having a sports medicine facility and a pair of indoor and outdoor fields. There also are Omni, Hilton, and Mariott hotels within walking distance.
The Indianapolis Business Journal reported that franchises with NFL cities can bid to host multiple years of the scouting combine. However, it remains to be seen if the NFL will choose to make the scouting combine an annually traveling event.
The NFL ended up making the draft a traveling event in 2015. Prior to the league doing so, the event was held in New York City for 50 consecutive years.
There are other markets such as Las Vegas and Los Angeles that could make a compelling case to host the scouting combine in their own right. Regardless, the Cowboys' bid should stack up very competitively with any.

Best chance to make the roster for the Undrafted Free Agents
JaQuan Hardy, Tiffin, RB
Brennan Eagles, Texas, WR
TJ Vasher, Texas Tech, WR
Brandon Smith, Iowa, WR
Osirus Mitchell, Miss State, WR
Brenden Knox, Marshall, RB
Nick Ralston, Louisiana, TE
Nick Eubanks, Michigan, TE
Artayvious Lynn, TCU, TE
Braylon Jones, Houston, G/C
Tyler Coyle, Purdue, LB/Safety
Anthony Hines III, TX A&M, LB
Austin Faoliu, Oregon, DL
Two players really jump out at me, Nick Ralston who can play RB, TE, FB and who knows what else and Texas WR Brennan Eagles who I am amazed wasnt drafted, 6-foot-4, 229-pound WR who bullied smaller CBs - also has 4.55 speed
he seems to be faster once he gets past the CB... but not beforeBrian Ethridge said:I'm not sure his speed translates to the field after seeing him at Texas.Assassin said:

Looking at the Cowboy draft picks, trying to envision who might start and who might get the most playing time:Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State (12th Overall) Kelvin Joseph, CB, Kentucky (44th Overall) Osa Odighizuwa, DL, UCLA (75th Overall) Chauncey Golston, EDGE, Iowa (84th Overall) Nahshon Wright, CB, Oregon State (99th Overall) Jabril Cox, LB, LSU (115th Overall) Josh Ball, OT, Marshall (138th Overall) Simi Fehoko, WR, Stanford (179th Overall) Quinton Bohanna, DL, Kentucky (192nd Overall) Israel Mukuamu, CB, South Carolina (227th Overall) Matt Farniok, OL, Nebraska (238th Overall)
My guess is that Joseph has the best chance to start if AB does not come back full strength. Strangely enough our 192nd pick, Bohanna may actually get the most playing time as he could play on 1st and 2nd downs. Interested to see what Nashon Wright does. Coaches were blown away in mini-camp
The rest depends on the D. If we are in a 3-4, Bohanna may start, and Parsons and maybe Cox might supplement LVE and Jaylon Smith. If either goes down, Parsons should move right in.

He had a great long play when LSU's DB mistimed it but beyond that it was rare to see him break into the open

After taking over as the starter in week two of the season, the former Badger Biadasz started just seven games for the Cowboys, missing weeks 9-15 and week 17.
Per Pro Football Focus, Biadasz allowed just one sack and 11 total pressures in 274 pass-blocking snaps in 2020. His 97.8 effectiveness rating ranked 28th at the position.
In PFF's "true pass set," Biadasz didn't allow a single sack on 130 opportunities. "True pass set excludes plays with less than 4 rushers, play action, screens, short dropbacks, and time-to-throws under 2 seconds."n
we can't count on an improved Williams anymore, or healthy tackles. Pipe dreams. Improved Williams is like wondering if 'Sofia the First' is logicalAssassin said:having the OTs back from injury along with Martin and an improved Williams should help him out too.Assassin said:

Dr Bob Ward passed away yesterday. Coached with the Dallas Cowboys for over a dozen years. An true innovator in muscle, strength and agility training. Brought in folks , like Dan Inosanto, who is best known as a training partner of Bruce Lee. Inosanto is an authority on Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Martial Arts including Eskrima and Pencak Silat. Instigated running with parachutes and other new ideas.
I got my Personal Training Cert from his brother Dr Paul Ward who played for the Detroit Lions for a while. He was devoted to training US Olympic & Elite Track & Field athletes. Paul co-authored with his brother, Bob, a definitive and comprehensive book entitled 'ENCYCLOPEDIA OF WEIGHT TRAINING, Understanding the Scientific, Theoretical and Practical Basis of Weight Training'

"The intensity and tempo of the club's interior line play and pass coverage during 11-on-11 drills were at a level where players were clearly engaged in physical contests," the NFL said in a letter to the organization.
"The league further contends that 'excessive contact between defensive backs and wide receivers' as well as between offensive and defensive linemen 'resulted in players being taken to the ground," according to the letter.
"The letter reminds the Cowboys that when on-field physical contact between players escalates to an "impermissible level," the head coach is obligated to intervene and stop the action. Coaches are also urged to remove "overly enthusiastic" players from the field for individual instruction. The OTA rules are part of the NFL Players Association agreement with the league."
