Brockers would be great but I doubt he would be in our price range. Of the other two, Davis would be my druthers. We liked him coming out of college. And he has proved to be just what we saw, a plugger at the 1. If he came for a late round pick. He did have shoulder surgery in Jan. But he only makes $705,000 this year so we would have a year to check him out before he is a FA next year

Cole Beasley (groin) will not play in the Cowboys' second preseason game.
He also missed Dallas' preseason opener. Beasley has battled soft-tissue injuries for an extended period, also dealing with hamstring problems since November of 2016. Beasley has topped 50 yards just once over his last 21 games.

Cowboys C Travis Frederick (neck) said he is only dealing with "stingers."
Frederick went to see a specialist on Wednesday after being bothered by neck issues over the last week. "I wanted to be sure that there was nothing else involved, so I went and saw the specialist down in L.A., one of the top guys," Frederick said, "and he assured me it's stingers. Everything is good other than the stingers." Frederick is expected to miss a few practices and the second preseason game, but he should be good to go for Week 1.

Dak Prescott said Tavon Austin is "not just a gadget" player.
"I didn't know he was as good of a receiver as he was and could run routes as well as he does, and catch the ball every single time," Prescott said. "He's a guy you can put out there, inside, outside and trust he's going to get open." The Cowboys have steadily said they plan to use Austin as a receiver, and that is primarily how he was deployed in the preseason opener. He did play behind Allen Hurns, Michael Gallup, and Terrance Williams in that contest, however, and he will likely be behind Cole Beasley once the slot receiver returns from injury. Still, he does carry some deep sleeper appeal on a wide-open depth chart.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports free agent Dez Bryant is looking for a one-year, "prove-it" deal with the Browns. The 29-year-old believes he can re-establish his value in Cleveland. Visiting on Thursday, Bryant was accompanied by his agent, and suggested he badly wants to get a deal done. The Browns seem eager, as well. It's probably going to happen some time in the next 24 hours.

I would love to see that. Dude has wheels. I would expect Hurns, Beaz and and maybe Austin to be in the 45-70 catch range if Gallup has 80 plus. Terrance probably 35-45 as they start to look to replace him once the season is done. Depending on who sticks - Lenoir or Thompson with up to 35 with maybe Noah Brown on the cusp

Its really hard to say who know as there are so many new faces. If Connor Williams comes through at LG and Collins solidifies RT, Dak could have quite a bit of time back there with Zeke as his safety valve

By yards I think it will be Hurns and by catches Beasley but neither wins by a landslide.

And Austin will be in that mix too.

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory declared himself game-ready.
He's hoping to make his preseason debut Saturday against the Bengals. Owner/GM Jerry Jones said earlier this week that he fully expected Gregory to play in the Cowboys' regular season opener at Carolina.
