Cowboys DE Randy Gregory (concussion) is doubtful for Week 2 against the Giants.

Gregory has been medically cleared to practice but his availability for Sunday night remains highly doubtful. DE Taco Charlton played 49 snaps with Gregory in and out of the lineup in Week 1 and would receive similar work if Gregory is declared inactive.

Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence (groin) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 2 against the Giants.

DE Randy Gregory (concussion) is doubtful. Xavier Woods (hamstring) and Datone Jones have also been ruled out for the second consecutive week. Lawrence only recorded one sack against the Panthers in Week 1 but made his presence felt across the board in all other aspects on defense. He'll suit up Sunday night against the Giants.

ESPN's Adam Schefter the Browns plan to release Josh Gordon next week.
This comes after Gordon was ruled out of Sunday's game despite practicing all week. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Browns cut Gordon over "trust issues" after he re-injured his hamstring away from the team and was late to the Browns' facility Saturday. Gordon will be free to sign with teams if he's cut next week, but his league interest may be limited given his off-field baggage. Cleveland will move forward with Antonio Callaway and Rashard Higgins in three-wide sets behind Jarvis Landry. It's a bitter end after the Browns supported Gordon through multiple suspensions. Fantasy owners should hold on to Gordon until his situation shakes itself out.

Need to know why he was cut...still on his rookie deal so he is really cheap if you did a waivers claim.

rookie deal is cheap - but it means a spot on the roster so somebody has to get cut

Well we are getting gifts all over the place today between Tampa beating Philly and Indy somehow beating Washington. Heck, even Atlanta beat Carolina.

Oh by the way if you are watching Minn v GB you are missing by a hell of a game. I so envy Minn with Theilin and Diggs at WR.

It's really nice after yesterday. Did not watch all those games but excited to hear that. Sorta down after watching the Bears struggle so bad. Life goes on.

I personally don't need a FB or 4 TEs...trams already calling the Browns, who league sources believe are far more likely to trade Josh Gordon than release him

Gordon is a vested vet and is not subject to waivers. So if he is cut, he is a free agent and can sign where he wants, for what he wants.

Didn't know Josh had played enough games to be vested.

Tight end Rico Gathers will be active for the first time in his career when the Cowboys take on the New York Giants Sunday, according to multiple sources. The former Baylor power forward spent the 2016 season on the practice squad, was on injured reserve in 2017 and was inactive in the Cowboys' season opener last week. He has not played in a regular-season football game since junior high. Gathers caught 10 passes for 83 yards in the preseason

With the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins losing today, the Cowboys will be tied for first place in the NFC East after two weeks with a win tonight against the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium. (Of course, the Giants can say the same thing).
