We currently have a perfect record against Briles offensive assistants at Baylor who are now OCs.
It's the Air Force offense we have to worry about

Yeah, I could rehab the Art.
Kendal wouldn't be worth the investment.
But stop and remember he's leaving Arkansas for a reason, and it ain't because he was gonna get promoted..
I think Kendall is going to TCU to take Baylor down a notch. I kinda think he will. This is bad for Baylor.
Lol. I am sure that is exactly why he left an SEC program to coach at a small, private school. $$$… cough cough…$$$. He just wants to put Baylor down a notch. You can't be serious…
I'm not saying it is the only reason. But it's a reason. We effed his Dad over. That doesn't just go away.
The win at all costs mentality is alive and well at TCU. https://t.co/lOFIvrRmIn

Kendal and Jeff Lebby come with all the same baggage and a fraction of the expertise. Those are two of the biggest frauds in college football. Both have gotten way more mileage than they should have out of their adjacency to Art. The only thing either has done exceptionally well is bounce around enough to keep everyone from realizing how mediocre they are.Dia del DougO said:
Always seemed weird to me, Kendall has worse creepy baggage than pops did, but he's still working and climbing the ladder.
In the TCU forum they have a filter where when a poster types "Kendal" it converts to "Tapefingers." I'm guessing now that he is their OC they will need to remove that filter.Bear8084 said:PartyBear said:
In fairness to at least some consistent TCU folks, it seems the controversy is being generated and fueled in large part from within by alums etc who are pissed at the move. Hence why Sonny has screwed up.
It's because those same alumni went all-in on the Baylor rape and tape-finger jokes and now they look even more foolish.
If you value "yards per game" over "points per game" then I guess Total Offense is that stat you want to go to.Golden Helmet said:
Ok
So they were 15th.
Got it.
Yeah, I think hiring those guys is a bit of Art by proxy, while mostly escaping the media backlash. Art was always the real OC when he was head coach. I don't think they come close to approaching the level and depth of football IQ.bear2be2 said:Kendal and Jeff Lebby come with all the same baggage and a fraction of the expertise. What uber successful head coaches have they been hired by? Before Dykes pulled the trigger, the best head coach Kendal had ever worked for was Lane Kiffin, who has never won anything above a Sun Belt title. And the only proven head coach to hire Lebby for reasons other than nepotism had the best year of his career after splitting from him.Golden Helmet said:
Frauds that keep getting hired away by Head Coaches at major programs.
Why are all these multi millionaires who are experts in their fields after decades of study and dedication so dumb?
Wild stuff.
It would not take very many people to consistently overwhelm her social media avenues with messaging calling her out for the fraud she it.boognish_bear said:The win at all costs mentality is alive and well at TCU. https://t.co/lOFIvrRmIn

Is she angling for a payday from TCU? Also if you read the comments on there people don't even understand what happened.boognish_bear said:The win at all costs mentality is alive and well at TCU. https://t.co/lOFIvrRmIn

Yep. At least she's consistent in this case, unlike Mack Engel.PartyBear said:
Why? I have no problem at all with her dogging TCU? Why not let TCU catch shxt for this? Let people pile on them like they did to Baylor for having some of the same coaches they are hiring.
What facts?Golden Helmet said:
It's admirable how you don't let facts get in the way and stick to your hatred of these two so passionately.
Anyone who runs this offense will have pretty total and scoring offense numbers because it leads to a bunch of empty numbers against overmatched defenses.Golden Helmet said:
Briles, 40, has been the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach the past three seasons at Arkansas, which experienced an offensive upheaval under Briles. The Hogs finished 15th nationally in total offense this past season while averaging 32.5 points per game and 30.9 points in 2021, which was the most at Arkansas since the 2015 season. The Hogs averaged just 21.4 points per game in 2019, the year before Briles arrived.
Arkansas was seventh nationally in rushing offense in 2022 (236.5 yards per game). The Hogs' 3,075 rushing yards were their most since the 2003 season. Briles also enhanced Arkansas' passing game and its balance on offense. The Hogs were one of three FBS teams in 2022 (Ole Miss and UCLA the others) to average more than 230 rushing yards and 230 passing yards per game.
Also 3 of those 4 games were with back up or injured QBs who are universally bad unless you listen to the loons on this board that think that Malik Hornsby was a power five level QB. That Arkansas offense was great when healthy last year. Arkansas was just rarely healthy last season. Lebby I'm not sold on, Kendal Briles clearly is a quality OC though.bear2be2 said:Anyone who runs this offense will have pretty total and scoring offense numbers because it leads to a bunch of empty numbers against overmatched defenses.Golden Helmet said:

But when you take a deeper look, you see that Arkansas scored 21 points in a loss to A&M, 17 in a loss to Mississippi State, 19 in a loss to Liberty and 10 in a loss to LSU. Running that offense, because of the strain it puts on your defense, you might as well chalk up a loss every time you score under 30, which (not coincidentally) the 7-6 Razorbacks did. Those are facts.
Kendal Briles and Jeff Lebby are good for three to five absolute stinkers a year. You're not winning a championship with that level of inconsistency, regardless of how pretty your offense in your wins.
Any team that can slow the running game against either of those coaches can befuddle them pretty quickly. Lebby's game plan against Texas this year was embarrassing.
