I take it reading comprehension is not your strong suit?

I hope you're not suggesting Baylor hasn't screwed this matter up in horrible fashion?
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

No, Baylor has definitely screwed the pooch. I was just wondering why you had to read the letter twice...

Okay BOR Fluffer. What is your interpretation of the letter? What did it say? (This should be good.)

Wow. Such a friendly fellow you are. Do you have any friends?

I asked you a simple question and your response was an insult. That is typical of BOR Fluffers. That is all you people know how to do.

Should I have called him BOR water carrier instead? I was responding to his snarky "lack of reading comprehension" comment. As far as I'm concerned, he threw the first punch.

He wasn't being snarky hoss. He was just saying that your interpretation of the letter was right and could have been drawn without having to read it again. Then you laid the fluff on him.

So he is not a BOR Fluffer and is just a d!ck? That makes me feel better. A$$ holes are acceptable (I am one myself) but BOR Fluffers will not be tolerated.

There with ya - real easy for the snark level to rise when it is just typed words.

I still don't understand why the Baylor leadership sent this letter to Art Briles.

Because he was innocent. I think it is time we all wrap our heads around the idea that this board fired the most successful football coach in our history because of the negative publicly generated by a fake news story, and not because he actually did anything wrong.

But there were a number of the Regents just crying out to God during the Pepper Hamilton presentation. There is no way our University's leadership was in the wrong at all if they were crying out to God. Case closed.

Written Pepper Hamilton report could have delayed action, Baylor regents say

I understand this letter was part of the settlement with Briles. It's written in lawyer-speak and is not as clear cut as it appears. What's interesting is the timing. It was issued two weeks before Livingstone took over as the new president. This letter didn't really clear up anything, it just further muddied the waters.

1/2 correct . Fired to cover up the actual failings of those at the very top. And done in a brilliant way.

The letter does nothing to cobfirm Briles' innocence. And the FOF show Briles is not innocent.

Because Art is crying about too much noise dipping him in grease.
The deal was Art would settle because his handlers and kids screwed up to the point that if everything was made public those folks wouldn't have jobs in coaching and it would make Art impossible to employ.
Likewise, the regents didn't want actions of a few regents and employees to brew in public.
Art being a shady turd couldn't keep the settlement under wraps and thus he was splashed in grease to the point no legitimate business organization would want him.

Further, he ticked off TV. The guys who own all the bowls and the playoff.
Now, Josh Gordon, Johnny Football and Art wait for the rebirth of the XFL.

The letter was sent to fulfill the settlement with Art. It doesn't entirely let him off the hook. It is significant for what it doesn't say as much for what it does say.

As someone else said, the settlement happened because both parties wished to cover things that neither wished to be made public.

Don't think Art is squeaky clean because of this ambiguous letter.

The alumni and the public will never know the truth.

Let should have read:

To whom it may concern:

Art Briles had a chance to clear his name and he decided the paycheck was better. Draw your own conclusions.

What was Baylor's purpose in writing the letter? Why did they address him as "Coach Briles"?

I have said it before and I will say it again: Baylor's Board of Regents has led so many people to Christ through its righteous actions. I am glad we could bring our University mission back to where it should be.

Did he stumble over the" buy off" couch with the money before sprinted out the door believing he was going to be able to coach again?
Not sure the big picture was in focus with the coach's approach.

It certainly doesn't say that he is innocent of everything, but it does say that he is innocent of the worst thing that the school tried to pin on him. Most college football fans are mad that he isn't in jail. They wanted to fire him and have the mob go away so they wouldn't see how badly the school was being run as a whole. It didn't work. We managed to get the worst possible outcome at every single opportunity.

Our school is run by complete morons. There really is no way you can look at this situation and think that they are good at running a school. They want alumni to forget that.

Untrue. This letter was written long after the settlement. It was written when Art was removed from the latest settlement with Jasmine or some other girl.

Have some you taken complete leave of your senses to the point of draining all logic from your brains? What lawyer is going to let his client sign a settlement calling for a letter of exoneration, and then not have that letter in his hands before his client signs on the dotted line? Did he tell Baylor it was okay to send the settlement check in a year or two as well, that we trust you guys?
