Defensive genius indeed. We are so lucky to have that guy after his 3 years as a division 1 coordinator. Definitely without him LSU doesn't even make the playoffs much less a national title.

How can the secondary always have receivers BEHIND them. Do they lack complete awareness? Do the secondary coaches have them in the wrong positions?

That's easy. He had dream defenses at LSU (especially their natty team) loaded with future NFL draft picks. I'm sure there are a lot of coaches that could've had great success with those kinds of players.

Agree, he would be fired if this was his unit with another HC.

Just completely unacceptable positioning, fundamentals, angles. He's holding this team back right now. The way they're getting schooled in year 6 is impossible for a good coach
