Also has it been confirmed other than a tweet that LSU is the culprit behind UW's ordeal? I had also seen speculation on twitter that it might be their rival Oregon. 5-6 million for one player for a season seems unsustainable for literally everyone except 6 or so blue bloods and maybe Cody Campbell if his priorities in life remain rather foolish.

I know there is a receiver from Colorado visiting today that we have supposedly been targeting for a while. I think he might be the other one.

I agree about Lagway. I know one good player can't fix everything… but the current BU portal experience will definitely feel more positive/hopeful if we end up picking up a QB that's ranked in the top 10 of portal QBs.

Right now nothing excites me about watching BU football next year expect maybe seeing if the defense looks any better...but if we have Lagway that will definitely build some interest for me.

At some point there will not be enough fools with enough money to continue to fund a zero ROI game like NIL. Hell, you can't even write it off in most cases.

It's not sustainable. At some point, these programs will have to run like a business, meaning they'll have to generate the money to make payroll.

Will be interesting to see how many people try the Utah / PE model. Turning donors into owners might work for a temporary bump.
