Baylor Looked Like a Final Four Team On Thursday

FORT WORTH, Texas — This is the Baylor that can return to a national championship. The one that features two possible lottery picks, a First Team-All Big 12 point guard, a 6-foot-9 forward who can defend and hit shots and a junior guard who is probably a better player than them all right now.

Norfolk State isn’t as good as Baylor. Let’s get that out of the way early. During the regular season, Baylor would pay to beat this squad in the Ferrell Center.

Duh..... Norfolk State isn't as good as probably 60+ teams in the tournament. Saying Baylor played like a FF team is uncalled for based on how we did against this bunch. If we play like we did against KU then the statement is likely valid. If we play like we did against OU, well that is another thing altogether. We better not have foul trouble against UNC from the get-go like we did today or we are in danger of getting our heads handed to us.

I will say we looked better in this game than any first round game I can remember......but many of those games were against better teams when we were not a one seed.

I would agree. These match-ups won't get an easier...any coach worth their salt knows we have zero bench and will be looking at ways to level the playing field. If Baylor does not start hot from the 3 - it will be a long day.

Every team for the past 3 seasons has been looking to "level the playing field." But somehow our winning cuilture finds a way to overcome. Sic 'em.
