I d actually put the 1987-1988 Lakers on the same athletic plateau as this season's 2019-2020 Lakers. Today's athlete does a better job with taking care of himself.
Most are AAU kids who come to the league knowing only how to dunk and shoot threes. It is all small ball because of it.Keyser Soze said:
Somewhat counter intuitive, the average height on an NBA player went down to 6-6 last year, historically about 6-7 since the 80s.
More three point shooter and less traditional centers most likely.

League is becoming more position less and more skilled.
Lakers went on a furious run 7-0 to close the game out to cut it to 14.Keyser Soze said:
Mavs take down Lakers in LA. Up 20 a good part of the second half.

Fozzie and Softneck, please do not bring the bs when the Lakers have a hiccup, you guys have been MIA

Was this when the Mavs were up 23 or 21 ?
Roughneck, check out LeBeta's post before the Mavericks game. This is a modern day diva if I ever saw one!Roughneck said:
Fozzie calls it again! Lightweight CareBears_254 is scared now that Lakers will now have to play teams outside of the bottom half of the league! Look out! Could be very many losses!

this is so predictable. Lakers are slightly better than last year which is why they will be competing for that final playoff spot in April. But last year they won 15 out of 21 games through early December. And then they finished 37-45 once the competition heated up.BaylorBears_254 said:
Where was this when the Lakeshow beat those Mavs and Luka was flopping all over the place lookin for a call?
Please keep the same energy throughout guys.
Imagine being Fozzie and Softneck...two trapped in the closet...LeGOAT fans

Fuzzie, Softneck? I miss you guys...Don't you think Bron and AD are the beet duo in the league hands down?
astute observation Roughneck as usual. Lake Show looks good. Let's see how they do when the shine and newness wears off a little. Rondo has done wonders to that toxic culture though.Roughneck said:
Lakers season has been saved by Celtics legend and MVP candidate Rajon Rondo. Shooting over 50% from three point land (record?). Lakers will be very dangerous with a player like Rondo taking the big shots Lil LeBeta shies away from in the big moments.
