I suspect the $$$ ball free-for-all will hamstring women's sports in favor of FB. Watching for the litigation for "equity" to follow.

Yes, it's all about the $$ for Hines father. TCU and TX Tech have some some of highest Nils in WBB. TCU paid Van Lith and Miles 7 figures. Most schools won't match what TCU pays. They can't recruit from HS so they pay big $$ from transfers every year.

Texas Tech needs to use some of that NIL money to invest in a coach. If you want to play in the league in not sure she is who will help your development. Though I guess with the money they are paying you can get a private coach.

Tech can outspend TCU. Now whether they want to for this player is another question. Tech spent $1M on a softball pitcher that immediately got them to the championship game in the WCWS. They have seen what they can do with money on a sport (think of FB). If this player goes to TCU over Tech, IMO, it won't be because TCU was willing to pay more.

They have pulled in three really good ones so far. And they're getting players with 2 to 3 years eligibility left. I don't know beans about their coach but he is definitely a go getter.

Campbell not big on recruiting HS recruits. He doesn't want to take 2 years to develop them. He prefers short term, success now, with the transfer portal, and pay 7 figures for the top players, like Miles, Van Lith, etc. He has $$milliions Nils to do that every year.
