Im one that has never cared about players being seen as "drama" without even having the full story.

You know how much "drama" those KM teams had lol? Im also certain, NC team has had drama as well.

My stance is why would we not go all out for a player that fits like a GLOVE next to Scott.

If NC has that same mindset about a player being "drama", we are in for a world of trouble

We know that "tampering" is against the rules (yet occurs frequently), but with a "Do Not Contact" tag the agreement has seemingly already occurred between the player and the new team. This happens a lot. Is it a case of the player or her agent reaching out to the team they desire and getting an OK from the team that they will take the player even before the portal is open? Is it a case where the team (by the rules) can't contact the player, but the player can contact the team and the team say OK, without it being tampering?

Wasn't saying too many transfers was the drama. She went to Rutgers out of HS because the top programs wouldn't touch her.

Yeah usually there are agents that reach out and put out feelers. I would imagine that 90% of the "do not contacts" haven't necessarily made a decision, they just don't want to be bombarded by every program. They probably have a short list based on the agent's feelers.

It's the player letting the agent to do the contacting. less confusion. Agents do the "tampering", but that's not really an issue anymore. And they actually give the head coaches a heads up in many cases.

Discussion about this upcoming year being Fennelly's ginal year - he may retire - if Crooks leaves also, will be quite the rebuild to only coach a year. Bill has not finalized any plans publicly so maybe he will be ther longer.

ISU has had 6 announcements of students transferring with Freya Jensen - a FR from Denmark announcing this afternoon. Crooks is the main roster player with eligibility left with starter type minutes that has not said anything yet, but the ISU roster is really rolling over.

You are right - ISU #'s getting hard to keep up with - 7 players leaving !!

I think Tennessee may have a few more leave also. They have 2 announced leaving but considering the rumors about Kim Caldwell losing the locker room & losing 11 of last 13, I assume there are more to come.

Well we aren't a top program anymore, so why not take whatever "risk" there is.

She improves the team and fits perfectly with Scott (if we keep her), gives us a dynamic 1-2 punch and allows us the flexibility to go get a big that fits with them.

We are at a point in WBB where risk must be taken, NC has to do something. Her recruiting has been HORRIBLE.

If she strikes out on the transfer portal again this year, she is done for.

Huh? CNC inherited a WNBA team that won her the COTY in 2018 right out of the gate of her HC-career. Then, downhill from there in the WNBA. Baylor, no improvement developing a mediocre team at best. Still mediocre today.....with better talent than she inherited here.

She's proven nothing done "well" thus far..........

She's got both pluses and minuses, but it would be foolish not to at least seriously consider her. It seems to me she would be an exact trade from this year to next: purely defensive bigs who struggle offensively for an offensive juggernaut who gets burned on defense.

Bonnie Deas is an Australian, has played on national teams and in the Australian version of the WNBA,. Several SEC teams have an interest. Would be a good fit at Texas, LSU and SC. She's a hard nosed baller, similar to Kristy Wallace, how did that turn out? Over 9 rebounds a game and 5'9".

Interesting reference to Wallace, Kristy was listed as 5'11", her dad told me was really 6' tall, but didn't want boys to hesitate asking her out because of being 6' tall. In Australia Bonnie is listed as 5'10" on the teams she has played with, nevertheless what a rebounder.
