Oh yes, their word is bond.

That's why I used "who wants to win" as a qualifier. If i had said "who wants a good college experience" or "who wants to go to a great school", it could be different. There isn't a ton of confidence to see that we can get over the hump in winning and get further in the tournament. Yes, money is a piece, but we've been told on this board 1000x we can't compete in that department,

We haven't get gotten a top tier transfer in the CNC era. Taliah was coming off a big injury and there was a lot of risks. Glad it worked out, but until we consistently win I would be shocked if people like Prawl come here.

The Tennessee coach Kim Caldwell seems to be on the hot seat. 2 articles reference below from the same outlet 1 year apart. She signs an extension through 2030 last year, and now people want her gone. We will see what happens here pretty quick as portal is less than 2 weeks away from opening ( with a lot of deal already struck by the time someone enters the portal)

Ajiah Blackwell was one of top players in portal and projected top 5 in WNBA draft when we got her. Unfortunately she had season ending injury early in season and never was able to come back from that….

I can't feature Baylor wanting players from such places as Evansville, Central MI, NAU, UNCG, ETX A&M, UT ST, Akron. Butler, ST Marys, HCU, Boson U, Princeton, Bowling Green, CCU, NAB, Kent ST, SC Upstate, Bucknell, Charleston, NKY, SFA etc. etc. That doesn't seem to be "The Trough" that the big Hogs are drinking from.

Yet remember Yaya Felder was at Ohio prior to Baylor. I know Madison Bartley didn't work out due to injuries but she was good at Belmont. I believe that it was one of the reasons why Marion didn't work out here.

For the record I'm not posting every single player because some players who are planning to enter transfer portal that did not continue that much. It's not mentioning that there are ton in general. Literally the only reason why that I posted Tennessee one was because we recruited her out of high school. I'm mostly posting players who made an impact at their school.

She also was coming off of suspensions at Mizzou and a little tumultuous ending. Regardless, that was literally four years ago. At that point they were coming off a Big 12 title (winning) so it does make sense.

I know but the injury aspect was one of the biggest reasons. She was good at Belmont.

We need more elite, Taliah-like players at all positions, yes. But don't discount the value of getting a solid bench player from a mid-major. (Keyword in this environment: "discount.")

Not really transfer portal related but now someone who had Baylor in top 6 has reopened their recruitment due to head coach change at Penn State.

Well she was at Sienna first two years prior to Oregon for 2024-2025 season. Then she had a season ending injury after 2 game this year.
