We're gonna need a ton of runs to win tomorrow. No idea where we find them.

Isn't SS #5 though? and 3B is #6?ValpoCory said:1-9 is the positions. Like when they say "6-4-3 double play", they mean short stop to 2nd baseman to 1st baseman, You may have seen this shirt around or something like it:mmodine said:
What do the numbers 1-9 mean? I don't think it is position is it? What does BC mean? Looks like even Kuechel is eligible. Is that usual?
B and C mean the 2nd and 3rd people to bat in that spot in the order.
thanks....never knew SS and 3B were flipped. Maybe that is why my coach always got mad at me. He would say throw to 5 so I threw to the SS.....haha. Plus I was like 10.GoldMind said:

Altuve, Correa, REDDICK...all ****ing no shows. Verlander was pitching a gem, good enough to win.
You have to remember that I am a huge Rangers fan, and all I can see is de ja vu of the 2011 series with St. Louis.ValpoCory said:D. C. Bear said:Yogi said:

For it to be complete deja vu, Manfred would need to postpone tonight's game so Kershaw could pitch game 7, just like Selig did to give Carpenter an extra days' rest.Yogi said:You have to remember that I am a huge Rangers fan, and all I can see is de ja vu of the 2011 series with St. Louis.ValpoCory said:D. From what they were showing in the Astros' dugout when the Astros came to bat in the 7th, it looked like Hinch had already decided that Verlander was done. But when Reddick drew a leadoff walk, I was hoping he would leave Verlander in to lay down a sacrifice bunt and not have to go to the shaky bullpen yet. Was anyone else thinking that?
2011. What's forgotten was that the pitch taken before the one Freeze hit to Right was close enough to the outside corner it could have been the final strike of the series.GoldMind said:whitetrash said:For it to be complete deja vu, Manfred would need to postpone tonight's game so Kershaw could pitch game 7, just like Selig did to give Carpenter an extra days' rest.Yogi said:You have to remember that I am a huge Rangers fan, and all I can see is de ja vu of the 2011 series with St. Louis.ValpoCory said:D. There were media types that said we'd never make it past Chris Sale.mmodine said:
Let's get back to the Astros. Win or lose, I will be glad when this series is over. This has probably been the most stressful time of my life. I get way too involved and almost feel it is more enjoyable watching a game when I don't care about the 2 teams. I don't like the Astros chances, but I know they can do it. Need the bats. I saw where Richard Justice said Dodgers were the best MLB team hitting the curve, which is McCullers best pitch. This could be a wild game and with the pitchers, it could be a 2-1 game.
I admit I'm biased, but when I look and think on the stories about Altuve and Correa, all they went through to help build this team, the play-me-where-you-want attitude of Marwyn, the leadership of Hinch and McCann, and compare it to anybody, I can't help but think those guys deserve for their work to be rewarded, for Houston to be rewarded for the kind of town it is.GoldMind said:There were media types that said we'd never make it past Chris Sale.mmodine said:

Their pen is tired, and on short rest.
If its a boring ass 2-1 thats fine as long as we finish on top.
And even if we dont, I truly believe we are poised to make it right back next year with a few tweaks.
Its been one hell of a series either way.
One thing that I keep in the back of my mind, it took the Almighty 4 years to give New Orleans a ring after Katrina. Will he give us something for what we've gone through?
