This happened before. At New York and Game 1 against LA.

After Game 2, I thought the 'Stros had figured it out, but ...

Perhaps he's thinking we will rock Darvishes **** again tomorrow? Idk

I sure hope Hinch can figure our how to find the Astros mojo again.

0-3 on the road vs the Yankees, 1-2 so far on the road against the Dodgers.

If we don't score tomorrow, we're done. This team deserves its title.

True. Never trust the Baseball Gods. They control game sevens.

Thanks Fox for going to the SI cover jinx when we were up 1-0 in the clincher. Unreal.

Yeah that's my gut feeling too.

We're gonna need a ton of runs to win tomorrow. No idea where we find them.

Well, for starters. . . MVPs don't go O for especially when a tieing run is on third.

01 Snakes are waving, too in the sense that it was do or die. And they won by 1 run.

History also says visiting teams in Game 7's are 19-18. Pretty even. Go 'Stros.

From what they were showing in the Astros' dugout when the Astros came to bat in the 7th, it looked like Hinch had already decided that Verlander was done. But when Reddick drew a leadoff walk, I was hoping he would leave Verlander in to lay down a sacrifice bunt and not have to go to the shaky bullpen yet. Was anyone else thinking that?

What do the numbers 1-9 mean? I don't think it is position is it? What does BC mean? Looks like even Kuechel is eligible. Is that usual?
1-9 is the positions. Like when they say "6-4-3 double play", they mean short stop to 2nd baseman to 1st baseman, You may have seen this shirt around or something like it:

B and C mean the 2nd and 3rd people to bat in that spot in the order.
Isn't SS #5 though? and 3B is #6?

Altuve, Correa, REDDICK...all ****ing no shows. Verlander was pitching a gem, good enough to win.

thanks....never knew SS and 3B were flipped. Maybe that is why my coach always got mad at me. He would say throw to 5 so I threw to the SS.....haha. Plus I was like 10.

You could say the same thing about all of them except for Taylor and Joc Strap

You have to remember that I am a huge Rangers fan, and all I can see is de ja vu of the 2011 series with St. Louis.

What I heard was that a World Series team going on the road with a 3-2 lead had a very good chance of winning the series, but, if they lost game six, then the advantage shifted back to the home team.

None of that gives me any confidence for any particular outcome.

Win or lose tonight, this has been the most fun Astros team I can remember.

In 2014 the Royals beat the Giants 10-0 at home to force game 7, then lost a close one. It's really a crapshoot when dealing with teams this good. Hopefully Darvish still doesn't have his stuff and maybe some of the hits will fall our way tonight.

For it to be complete deja vu, Manfred would need to postpone tonight's game so Kershaw could pitch game 7, just like Selig did to give Carpenter an extra days' rest.

I was. Was wanting 2 more from Verlander. But if they can't score I guess it doesn't matter.

2011. What's forgotten was that the pitch taken before the one Freeze hit to Right was close enough to the outside corner it could have been the final strike of the series.

Not forgotten by me. Fk that game.

I'm certainly not a Rangers fan, but I'm cheering Texas teams before all others, and that was 1, a ****ty call and 2, all Nelson Cruz had to do was act like he gave a *****

Let's get back to the Astros. Win or lose, I will be glad when this series is over. This has probably been the most stressful time of my life. I get way too involved and almost feel it is more enjoyable watching a game when I don't care about the 2 teams. I don't like the Astros chances, but I know they can do it. Need the bats. I saw where Richard Justice said Dodgers were the best MLB team hitting the curve, which is McCullers best pitch. This could be a wild game and with the pitchers, it could be a 2-1 game.

There were media types that said we'd never make it past Chris Sale.

Their pen is tired, and on short rest.

If its a boring ass 2-1 thats fine as long as we finish on top.

And even if we dont, I truly believe we are poised to make it right back next year with a few tweaks.

Its been one hell of a series either way.

One thing that I keep in the back of my mind, it took the Almighty 4 years to give New Orleans a ring after Katrina. Will he give us something for what we've gone through?

I admit I'm biased, but when I look and think on the stories about Altuve and Correa, all they went through to help build this team, the play-me-where-you-want attitude of Marwyn, the leadership of Hinch and McCann, and compare it to anybody, I can't help but think those guys deserve for their work to be rewarded, for Houston to be rewarded for the kind of town it is.

I really do respect the Dodgers organization, but cheering for LA is kind of like cheering for IBM or Microsoft. Houston deserves its title, and I dearly hope it happens tonight.
