Uh-ohhhh….Someone doesn't know what anti-American means.
So Russia arrested a professional women's basketball player who was playing for a Russian team (UMMC Ekaterinburg) for 7 years just Willy Nilly as a political statement? To flex their muscles by bringing the 'wildly popular' WNBA to a standstill? That's stupid.
Believing a professional athlete uses drugs and has the arrogance to think she can do what she wants no matter where she goes….that's both rational and very American.
Knowing what I know about Brittney, I would not be stunned if she had weed on her.
Or if the truth is somewhere int he middle.
But I didn't say I believed the Russians or Brittney. I said you default to the anti-American position, which your follow-up confirms. My criticism of you was for automatically siding with the Russians. Those are the words I used. Your incessant war on people who see life differently than you do apparently clouded your ability to discernt the plain English meaning.
Backpedal all you like. I'm applying a rational test to a story about a professional athlete accused of bringing drugs into a foreign country. I'd have had the same reaction if it had been Thailand or Singapore or the UAE because I've lived overseas and know the extent to which drug laws are enforced.
This isn't a story about Russia and it's got nothing to do with the war. It's about a spoiled pseudo celebrity and her sense of entitlement. That you tie it to the war is stupid and telling about who the real warmonger here is. I've never said anything about sending US troops to Ukraine.
Comrade Putin thanks you for defense of Mother Russia.

In between her trips I fly to San Diego to help a buddy with his new boat ...then fly to Dallas to visit a sister I haven't seen since before Covid.
In May we both go to Belfast, Maine to do some serious ( summer ) house hunting .
All the while we re modeling 2 rental houses to sell in April....funds to be 1031 exchanged to the property in Maine .
I dont think she disrespects the US other than she doesnt like the anthem being played but maybe she will realize that we have it pretty good here.quash said:muddybrazos said:yes, most all weed vapes contain hash oil. Just to show exactly how dastardly and scheming Putin is, before he blatantly kidnapped super-duper star WNBA giant, B. Griner as a political prisoner, he set up this poor Marine and made sure was handed a nine-year prison sentence in July 2019 after allegedly assaulting two Russian police officers while drunk. He's clearly been planning this war since 2019, at least, and amassing hostages to help.
You leftists are really on top of this. It's all a giant Putin conspiracy to hobble the west by arresting drunks and drug users. It's pure evil genius, I tell you!!!

Only thing odd about this was it is a "breaking news" story that really happened a couple of weeks or so ago.
Did the news media not care about Brittany back in February, but now that they can use the story for possible
enhanced readership, it now matters.
Well, it mattered back in Feb. well before we were told about it.
I’m not going to further humor the bullshit response that $227k is enough. If a world class, major league, white male pro male athlete were making that much, it’d be the focus of overwhelming criticism. And you know it. So, don’t prop up some bullshit argument about elitism.
— Charlotte Clymer 🏳️⚧️🇺🇦 (@cmclymer) March 5, 2022
These arguments are so unbelievably stupid. There is literally no such thing as equal pay in professional sports, not even within the same sport. Lebron James and Austin Reaves are both professional basketball players, they both play for the Lakers, they both have to attend all practices, film sessions, walkthroughs, etc. They both play significant minutes per game. Lebron makes $41 million per year and Austin Reaves makes $925,000. Both these players know exactly why that is. Austin is not arguing he isn't paid fairly because he makes less than Lebron and everyone knows it would be absurd for him to do so. Austin Reaves would also win MVP every season if he played in the wnba. There isn't equal pay within the NBA so arguing there should be equal pay between the nba and the wnba is a bad faith argument and everyone knows it. It also has nothing to do with women versus men which is proven by salary differences between male players in the NBA.Jack Bauer said:

New talking point - WNBA players wouldn't have to play basketball overseas if the WNBA (NBA) paid them more in the US.
These people who try to compare NBA and WNBA salaries are not serious people. Just like Megan Rapinoe and her "Equal Pay" bull*****
According to Yahoo Finance, the average WNBA salary in 2021 is $120,648. Unlike in the men's game, most WNBA players don't have the luxury of spending the offseason on a beach somewhere. The league's "supermax" salary of $221,450 is only achieved by seven players, Brittney Griner among them. For reference, the minimum salary in the NBA is $925,258I’m not going to further humor the bullshit response that $227k is enough. There is only one professional sports league that prohibits co-ed play - and that is the WNBA. One might ask themselves why before bloviating about inequality and sexism in such a foolish way.

They look pretty manly for the average trans person, makes me wonder if they are fully in, and have cut off the goods.
They call themselves lesbian also. Which is kinda odd, since they are a man in reality. Lots of trans folks really do look the part, but Clymer looks like a man with a dress.
