Don't you know that we are much smarter now and know how to create a better document than those men in 1787? We can write a better one now!
we are in fact not smarter now..
GWs address was written on like the 26 grade level.
Jacksons on the 22 grade level. Biden was 9th. Harris convention speech was 7th..
We are dumber than ever as a society
Hard to accurately determine such an accusation.
Public schools are better funded now than in the 1800's.
Literacy I would suspect is better today.
However those who could read back in the 1800's were probably better read than those of us today. They read newspapers, novels , poetry, biographies, histories and journals.
They were more socially active in various literary clubs and organizations.
Today we are more isolated than ever with most people limited to their cell phones as their only worm view to reality.
Public schools are better funded but don't educate students better. Basic literacy levels, math skills, grammar, historical knowledge, understanding of the constitution, and many other essential skills are often poor in today's graduates. Today, even people have trouble reading complex texts. Take the Federalist Papers, for example: they were written for people with elementary education but today are difficult for people with graduate degrees.
Schools today are too busy indoctrinating kids with the trans cult, racist lies, the climate cult, and other woke garbage. It's all lies and deception and goes not prepare kids for the real world. Too many younger people (& older) don't know how to think for themselves.
