I'm sure he will do lots of things if he wins. I'll be happy if he gets the economy back to prosperity & cleans up the swamp for real this time. Even a partial clean up would be a step in the right direction.

He says lots of things, like every other politician. We have to learn how to filter it. At least with Trump we can believe him when he talks about the economy or promoting American interests. He has a positive record there.
Listen, I'm far from a Trump guy, but where have you been as numerous Dems (aided by much of the fed government) not only centered their campaign on convicting Trump, but actually gone after him and indicted him?Osodecentx said:historian said:

Put opponents in prison?

I hope so. If they broke laws they belong in prison. We have lots of reasons to believe they did: fraud (Russian collusion hoax), taking bribes (Biden on China's payroll, extorting Ukraine, etc), lying to Congress (everyone who testified in the above), obstruction of Justice (covering up everything), security breaches (see above plus Hillary's emails, etc), and the list goes on.
Well said.historian said:
It's not really retribution or dictatorial to go after Dem criminals. It's called justice and the rule of law. These are among America's g to funding principles & they are common sense. That's how bad the fascists have made everything: it's considered a radical idea to punish criminals and to hold people in the government responsible for their actions. Insane!

Shouldn't we try not to be like Biden? You would emulate him
Of course not, but I'm consistent. Both sides should cut the crap and fight it out in the political sphere. But, my goodness, if you're going to call out either side for criminalizing the political process, it's not a tough call.Osodecentx said:sombear said:Listen, I'm far from a Trump guy, but where have you been as numerous Dems (aided by much of the fed government) not only centered their campaign on convicting Trump, but actually gone after him and indicted him?Osodecentx said:historian said:

THIS IS NOT AT ALL UNUSUAL IN WAR. Also is black/gray boxer underwear & gray T-shirt, standard issue in Gaza? Because 90% of the men are wearing that. Almost like a uniform. 🤔 https://t.co/cpHTGPhfRs

Many of the charges against trump are idiotic. So he asked people to watch a TV show or met with some friends. Who cares? Both actions are rights under the first amendment.
“What the hell is the matter with these people?” is the right reaction.

You know that means nothing. To keep saying "but nobody prosecuted..." is not a defense. Did he have documents that he wasn't supposed to have? You, "historian", really believe all the President has to do is think a document declassified and it is? Using that logic, he can declassify to go to the bathroom. Read it on his throne and the reclassify it walking back... Really?historian said:
As I understand the situation, as president Trump had the authority to declassify documents. If he did that, there is nothing to prosecute. But I'm more certain the case is bogus because Biden has far more documents, gif a longer period of time, and some of them in a facility owned by the ChiComs. And is VP, he did not have that authority.
Every prosecution of Trump is a complete fraud unless they first prosecute Bill Clinton for his crimes (How many times did he go to Epstein's Pedophile Island?), Hillary for hers (How many emails? What other security breaches?), Joe's (taking bribes, extortion, covering up everything, maybe even espionage & treason), & many others. The selectiveness of fascist interest in the law is the worst kind. It includes BLM, antifa, and many other examples of Leftists who act with impunity. Prosecuting Trump is lawfare, a tactic of terrorists, not pursuing justice.
Trump charged and Biden not charged for his grossly incompetent handling of documents. You don't see a problem here? A double-standard? I think most Americans are absolutely sick of this and have had enough.FLBear5630 said:You know that means nothing. To keep saying "but nobody prosecuted..." is not a defense. Using this logic, anything Trump did or anyone else in Congress for that matter is not prosecutable until Clinton, Joe Biden and other s are prosecuted. For how long? For how long does this not allowing to prosecute stay in effect?
There is a huge difference between me seeing a problem with legal decisions and not prosecuting someone in response.RD2WINAGNBEAR86 said:Trump charged and Biden not charged for his grossly incompetent handling of documents. Can't argue with you, you are right. But, the answer is not letting people walk if there is enough for a Grand Jury to indict.historian said:
Of course the process is more complicated. I never said it was easy. I also used the word "if."
The point is Trump could have done it, Biden couldn't have. My biggest problem with all of this is the obvious double standard. The 14th amendment has the "equal protection" clause, everyone is entitled to due process, and the rule of law requires everyone to bd treated equally. It's one of our founding principles and the fascists ignore it, and many other fundamentals.

I'm not Trump, but when he was president, I didn't see him throw innocent political opponents in jail. That is all well and good, in theory. How do you do it? Impeach? Unless the GOP either finds enough evidence or is willing to vote in block that has and will go nowhere.Whiskey Pete said:"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others"FLBear5630 said:You know that means nothing.
