I didn't agree with the total forgiveness, you have to do something for the Country to get it. Serve in the military, teach, cop, fire, local, state government. Something.

This should be required to vote period. When you turn 18 you serve two years of public service as a civil servant working on infrastructure, waste management, a teacher aid, etc. Or do two years of military serivce.
We should have moved to this standard when we did away with the requirement that only land owners, aka the tax payers, could vote.
