Remember this rule that both parties play by:
1st priority is to defend incumbents.
2nd priority is to compete in open seats.
3rd priority is to challenge opposing party incumbents.

In a bad cycle, you struggle to cover 1st priority. In a favorable cycle, can compete for open seats. And when things are setting up for a wave election, you can go challenge some incumbent opponents. So what does it say when we see a Dem organization spending zero money for red-state Gov race while stepping in to defending a blue state Gov race?

It doesn't scream blue wave….

One can easily spot who is losing the argument by identifying who leads with the Ad Hominem every single time.

One can also get a pretty good idea what the pros are thinking by analyzing how & where the money is being spent.

I respect your concern for unborn life, but Christianity has never taught that one political party represents God. Christians have diverse, sincere views on abortion, and many denominations emphasize compassion, complexity, and care for all life born and unborn. Faith should guide our conscience, not force us into a single party. When politics tries to claim exclusive ownership of Christianity, that's a tactic, not theology. If someone tells you God only votes for their party, they're not defending faith they're using it.

This might be the story for why the polling is so far off. If it turns out to be true (i.e. what we see in the data now holds up over time) then the Dems will be asking themselves how they missed the best chance they'll ever have for a big blue wave.

I never said that any party represented God. That is clearly untrue, politics being what it is. However, there is one party in the US, the so-called "Democrats", that has consistently for years opposed God and godly values such as protecting innocent life. The Dems are the party of mass murdering babies in the womb, mutilating and poisoning children, enabling and promoting crime (not only illegal aliens), mass theft, mass fraud, all kinds of perversion, etc ad nauseum. None of their agenda promotes the values and kind of government God repeatedly commanded. In fact, in the OT societies that did these things were strongly condemned by God and punished severely.

Modern western culture resembles in multiple ways the ancient pagan cultures explicitly condemned by God. The Dems' obsession with abortion (the recent insane law in Massachusetts, the desire for a federal law like it, the plans to pack the Supreme Court to undo Dobbs, etc) reminds me of religious rituals like the ancient child sacrifices to Moloch or Baal. It is completely barbaric.

It seems the Dems replaced one Nazi with another:

As happens on occasion, I agree with your statement
"God does not vote in any of our elections. He does rule over the universe He created."

More evidence Dems down more than GOP in a cycle where they should have an edge in enthusiasm (typically a marker for high turnout).

They had it D+8 in September.

For perspective, Rasmussen has Trump approval in the low-to-mid 40s and trending slightly upwards.

Oh my. Look at the movement. GOP spends appear to be moving the needle.

Seems like it's shaping up to be a disappointment for Democrats, in the sense that there is no evidence yet of a blue-wave election, other than public polling of increasingly questionable objectivity. Partisan voting patterns actually decidedly favor the GOP in all but one state. To get to a blue wave, indies will have to break massively for Democrats AND turn out in strong numbers. May happen. Ain't happening yet.

All that said, it's hard to see how Dems wouldn't recapture the House. The current GOP margin of control is so tight that Dems don't have to move the needle very far to get back control. Senate control, however, is a different story. There are at least 7 tossup races in both blue and red states, and GOP is dumping its substantial cash advantage into playing both defense and offense, significantly outspending Dems in most of the races. Really hard to see how Dems sweep the board (what they have to do) in all those tossup races. GOP somewhat more likely to hold on to enough to retain control.

As to the Senate, my view is that the Dems have to get to 52, because Fetterman wants to be Joe Manchin on steroids.

Who knows, between the racial gerrymandering and the massive infusions of swamp money, the GOP may have some life left in it yet.
