This was of course the concern when you nominate a POS.

To be fair, the left only had a choice between pieces and because of racism, picked the white piece.

We agree. Zero relevance to this election.

Couple of things here:

1. In what world is Low-T the more moral choice in this election? The man promotes the genitalia mutilation of children. He promotes the flooding of our state with criminal illegals, endangering the lives of everyone, crowding our schools and hospitals, and driving down wages of working people.

2. The GOP promoted Cronyn, the voters picked Paxton. If Low-T wins, how does that send a shock wave through the GOP? It merely reinforces its desire to back the Romneys and other RINOs - the people that always lose because they are democrat light. Low-T is the face of "the worst of us."

Basically, he's saying 'you didn't do what I want, I hope you get hurt'.

That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

Todd Starnes???
Be careful

Starnes' strongly conservative views, which he likes "to spice it up a little bit" to generate reader interest, have also generated controversy.[24] For example, In 2015, Starnes referred to removing symbols of the old Confederacy from public places as "cultural cleansing" on his radio show.[25] His 2017 book, The Deplorables' Guide to Making America Great Again debuted on the USA Today, Publishers Weekly, and Conservative Book Club's best seller lists. The New York Times, however, did not list the book as one of its top 10 non-fiction paperback books.[26][27]

In 2003, when employed by the Baptist Press, Starnes misquoted U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige from an interview.[28] Ultimately, the Baptist Press issued an apology noting "factual and contextual errors" and "misrepresentations" made by Starnes and saying that he "no longer will be employed to write for the Baptist Press".[29]

Was Jesus a political figure? Did he have any connection with the government at all? Low T Jimmy repeatedly fails in his efforts to distort scripture into supporting his radical agenda. And he's helping Paxton win.

Talarico now leading Paxton by more than the margin of error.

I just cannot picture Talarico winning in Texas...but Paxton needs to be taking the campaign seriously.

Using 2022 (last Texas non-Presidential election) as a Go By and plugging in each result of that poll, Paxton wins easily.

2022:

every statewide race except Paxton won by 10.3% or greater.
Paxton won by 9.7%.
If Paxton trails other republicans candidates by 7-8% (per those polls) he still wins by 3%.

TSU……not exactly representative of Texas……TSU is insane if it thinks the entire R statewide candidate pool is within 7% in a non-Presidential election after the massive voter registration push by Rs.

Don't think that item matters? Look at 2024 results comped to 2020 and 2016.

2016: Trump by 808K
2020: Trump by 621K
2024: Trump by 1,569K

Raw numbers:

2016: R 4,685K D 3,877K
2020: R 5,890K D 5,259K
2024: R 6,375K D 4,806K

2022:

High statewide water mark for D = 3,554
Low statewide water mark for R = 4,274 (Paxton)
Gap of 720K

Anyone predicting a 11%+ swing in results to D (only one election later) in Texas is certifiably insane.

The situation is 2024 Iowa poll on repeat. The other statewide race poll figures confirm that point.

I understand.
If Baylor basketball beats Arizona by 5 points and Arizona beats Houston by 3 points, Baylor would beat Houston by 8 points.
