All the self righteousness will end when the NCAA starts banning all sides.
It's embarrassing enough to deserve to see some banning.
Once big salaries start getting banned, assistants lose jobs, former regents get banned, former athletic department staff gets banned, and other personnel get involved get banned, Baylor will be able to move on.

So would you call Briles & Starr un-Christian at times?

Well one is actions & mistakes category and one is character category. Great point by Keyser.

Oh I see, the old errors and omissions clause. Looking at the backgrounds of these folks it is a very blurry line to try and distinguish, one group just made a few mistakes and another has bad character.

Looking at the actions on both sides, I would say there was plenty of character issues to go around.
Keyser judging one's Christianity?
Not at all - where would you even get that from?

I don't read most threads like this, esp not 35 pages. Unlike you, I don't feel obliged & am not paid to answer every post.

Asking questions I can be a nuanced form of slander and is well established.

"Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?"

"Do you still beat your wife?"

As a native of the Missouri Ozarks with ancestry dating back to the 1830s in the Branson area (moving from Tennessee so 200 years invested in this lifestyle), I would have to ask what your problem is with Hillbillies? You didn't mind a few at the Alamo.
Right on!

I recently moved back to be near my roots. I live about 5 miles from where I once saw deer jumping out though open windows of a house to come greet us as we drove up. They were like dogs coming to greet us!

Top that one.
In my area that could be an animal but would more likely be a meth cooker squatting in your house coming to greet you with a shotgun. Ever see the movie Winter's Bone?

I answered your question. See post from earlier today. I can't question the Christianity of those in the BOR? They obviously cried out to God amongst themselves.....why didn't they cry out in public? Why have they made themselves above rebuke? I question the decisions of those preaching Christian Mission after the fact and especially when those making the decisions at that time ran a company that sold sex toys and ripped off taxpayers thru an FDIC bank bailout and perhaps, not yet proven, used racism to shift some of the systemic failures away from themselves. It's ok to question and challenge.

That's a lot of words..but no update on that Low T score peak?. Impress us. All sissies are anxiously waiting.

Why do you BoR apologists have such a hard time figuring me out? So much drama. I'm the easiest guy here to figure out.

-all failed
-all weren't held accountable
-this is hypocrisy. arguing otherwise makes you a hypocrite.
-it created a toxic environment
-Baylor would have been better served with a new BoR untouched by this scandal.
-arguing otherwise is intellectually dishonest.

See. It's very simple. Maybe it's becssue at its core, that logic is infallible and all the spin in the world from you and Keyser won't change that. Your just mad becasue it exposes you.

It is not your questioning their Christianity I have a problem with it is the constant use of labels such as un-Christian. I think that is harsh and also not consistently applied to all players.

So does hearing account after account of of abuse of women for the first time prove some kind of weakness or flaw if those accounts prompt an emotional response? I cant fathom why that same response would be repeated again and again.

And following NoBSU here - did you or anyone give a rip what products the giant Pharmaceutical company Willis worked for sold prior to May 2016? (thinking the answer is a big no)

Who attends TSTI? My guess would be lots of poor folks who can't attend Baylor

Nice job of insulting African Americans and poor people. You would make a great candidate for the BOR. Elitist. Demeaning. Unwilling to ever admit you are wrong. Insulting of those with "limp wrists". Can I say homophobic just a bit?

And get off this absurd high horse about how wonderful Baylor football players were in the past. I was a freshman in 1967. The thugs sitting on the steps of Martin Hall I would not call examples of wonderful people. My wife....freshman in 1967 refused to date football player because she got tired of being constantly groped. There were a few fine guys....Dr. Derek Davis comes to mind, but the majority loved nothing more than to bully anyone on campus who was smaller or weaker. I don't think Grant Teaff made that change. It's everywhere.

And let me ask....who taught Briles the "Baylor way" that you love to quote. Ramsower? Starr? Willis? Buddy? Neal? He was asked to win and that he did.

You can research that one yourself, but I believe so post WSJ article.

Do you think it would have helped the good football players had Briles run a tighter ship and removed poor character players from the school in a more timely fashion?

Do you think it would have helped the good football players if we didn't accept transfers that had been kicked off their previous team?

Tevin Elliott did more harm to good football players than any regent, coach, or administrator.

Yeah. Agree...As a Christian university, we should be 100% opposed to giving young men second chances. Helping them get their lives straight. #neveragain

The #truth/reality, is there are MANY more young men who benefited from Briles trying to positively impact their lives and give them a second chance than the few who took advantage of it. But glad we straightened out that out.

This is why you are labeled a shill. The constant need to paint Briles as evil, and overlook the vast majority of good things he did. He was not evil. He made Mistakes. Nor was the BoR evil, but they made mistakes as well. Your selective outrage is old...it strips you of any credibility.

I realize you pretend to "ignore" my posts. I realize you are simply unable to spin out of or confront this simple, truthful logic. Carry on.

Of course the answer is no. I've stated I didn't follow that closely before, but I do now. However, since the BOR vets their own for membership, maybe they should think, "How does this individual who runs a business that also sells sex toys forward the Christian Mission? How would that look to the Baylor Family and the outside world?" That same kind of question could be asked of Murff with Guarantee or even Hurd with his very public firing from HP after falsifying expense reports under dubious circumstances. That type of question applies to all of them. We only get to vote on 3 who have enough sense now to scrub their online presence.

And NoBSU deserves credit for revealing the sex toys.

He gets credit for going and confirming it. I posted it September 25 2016 before 11 a.m. There was great research done by a few others. The three straight running plays by former staff inside our 30 game. First tank attempt game took place later that evening.

Can I answer it for him?
No, they did not. They decided to rid themselves of all involved because it was bulldozing time.
I m not sure their bread and butter would have been to defend them. The former regime was trying to burn down the house on the way out and it made no sense to stand up and play firefighter when they were at odds.
Rhule was told to find new players and he would be given time. It was not just our alumni watching our former regime and regents in action. He inherited a hospital fire.

The football team was in the regent doghouse. The regents weren't going to go feed them scoobey snacks because they were cute.
I did not see anyone have the players back. It would be the biggest lie of all to say otherwise.
GruntTuff

I've carefully looked/read/listened for one peep from an administrator or BOR member defending the athletes. Maybe you can find one. Let me know. Ask your friends on the BOR. Maybe they can direct you to one.

Your reply is absurd. Maybe it would have helped in the tush hogs on the BOR....many of them big dog lawyers, had seen to it that the university for which they served as fiduciaries had exerted leadership and seen to it that Baylor administrators, from the top down, were leaders, not sorry followers, and made Baylor an early mover in the field of campus safety and sexual assault awareness.

They were too busy enjoying their jumbo shrimp, free tickets and pats on the back from their buddies in the business world for how awesome Baylor (Briles) was doing.

Your reply is a sad excuse at deflection. Try voicing that reply face to face to the parent of a football player who was shamed, and had no one defending him other than Kim Mulkey....and the sorry BOR damned sure did not come to her defense.

Yep. Others referred to the female targeted vibrators. I posted the links to the latex sheath that added 2" to your *****. The "kiss" oral sex simulator. The silk tie up straps. The mederators were flexible to not edit that I might add. A regent was calling female students "perverted little tarts" for having a bottle of wine at an engagement celebration while the past president of the regents was selling sexual devices.

My guess is that Willis explained that he was ending those products. The "kinky" stuff moved to clearance after the products were highlighted on the message board. The vibrators were there the last time I looked.

My Google Ad choices have been forever affected.
