What has this got to do with global warming? According to one study a one meter rise in sea level would affect 1% of Martha's Vineyard. A one meter rise is waaaay down the road.
Bull***** We only have 12 (now 11) years left. Give a hoot, don't pollute.
Cite?
We only had ten years left in 1989.

That's not what the article said. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it: read what the scientists say and pay attention to the conditional statements.
You're right. That's not what the article said. It said we had a 10-year window to do something or there was nothing we could do about it. Well, that ten year window is gone, we didn't do anything about it in that 10 years, but we are still being told that we better do this or that. According to that article, it's too late. If that article is correct, there is no point in cutting CO2 now because the damage is done.
If the U.N. official is correct. He's not.
Pick a year. Find a scary article. Y'all can play this game all day.
I'll stick to two things: the science and the market.
And, to bring this full circle, there is no hypocrisy in the Obamas moving to Martha's Vineyard, not with respect to global warming.
“Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.” (The Law, p.6) Frederic Bastiat
