Or it could be that we brought a team with an average age of 31 with some of our best players coming off of injuries. Might be that they're also not adjusted to teams that can press them up high and transition and counter very quickly. Might be that Sweden is a good team as well.

My apologies Mike, it's early and I haven't had my coffee. And I'm pretty sure politics aren't the problem, and that team loves Rapinoe, she's not going anywhere until she decides to retire and they stop calling her up.

There's absolutely no way this is the best talent the US has to offer. As was said above, average starter age is 31, and they subbed in a 36 and 39 year old? Most of that squad is 10 years past their primes, or more.
