Baylor Basketball Firmly in Preseason Top 25 in Poll and Ratings

The AP Poll, USA Today Coaches Poll, KenPom ratings and Bart Torvik ratings are all out as the 2023-24 college basketball season nears. Here is where the Bears landed relative to other Big 12 teams.

The preseason polls are in and Baylor Men’s Basketball was voted 20th in the AP Poll and 17th in the USA Today Coaches Poll, as well as being rated 7th by KenPom and 24th by Bart Torvik.

Between the polls and the rating systems, the Big 12 conference appears to have three clear upper tiers. Kansas (1st in the AP and Coaches, 2nd in KenPom and Torvik) and Houston (7th in the AP, 6th in the Coaches and Torvik, and 3rd in KenPom) own the top two spots for the Big 12.
