Missi is an elite rim protector. Just not a good low post defender. Those are 2 separate skill sets.
I wouldn't call him an elite rim protector because he's rarely in position and almost always late. But he's a good shot blocker.

And our team is proof of your second point. Josh O is an infinitely better post defender than Missi, but he's not a shot blocker at all.

Only gripe is let Josh get the run. Was playing really well and bodying the posts that were killing us. I understand Missi needs to get comfortable with some run. But let him rest a bit and play in spots.

[Wouldn't mind seeing more of Lohner and Little. Go for the kill early in the second , then get some more guys experience

That last layup before the timeout is a perfect example of why Missi is not an elite rim protector. He's literally always chasing because his positioning is awful.

Ekpe Edoh was an elite rim protector. Missi is a really good shot blocker whose athleticism sometimes allows him to make up for routinely being in the wrong spot.
