Early Big 12 Basketball Power Rankings: Why I have Baylor No. 1

We have too many teams in the league! But here are my Big 12 power rankings for the now 16-team league after the transfer portal window closed.

1) Baylor — With the addition at point guard, and Norchad Omier, Baylor will once again have an elite offense. Baylor’s defense will look quite a bit different--especially with Alvin Brooks III taking Kentucky’s lead assistant gig. If the defense improves a decent bit, Baylor should be the league favorite.
