I don't know if the team quit. It may be that ISU has just seen everything Baylor does, made adjustments, got matchups and figured it all out.

I don't think the players quit. They just don't quite have a plan that matches the talent they have and can't adjust like their opponents do. They showed a lot of scrap tonight, so I don't fault them for effort. They just still have a ways to go to play four quarters and beat a decent team.

There was some statistic that said our schedule technically gets easier after this ISU game. Dave needs to win 4 games to get out of jail. I don't see that happening

I think 3 more would get him back, despite popular opinion. Even after a 4 win season with some pointing to close calls might give him another year. I don't think they really want to admit this great experiment was a failure, plus the buyout money.

Agree with you on the buy out and admitting to fing up with this so called genius. Open check book is no more.
It is not cheap to buy out Dave AND hire a quality coach. So yeah, I would not be surprised to see him back next year.

Especially since we have a bye!!

Do you really think Baylor will fire him if he gets to six wins and a bowl game?

Campbell's trying to figure out how not to score so that we don't fire Dave. He wants Dave to remain in place for an easy W.

The program has been able to lean on being competitive in games and being close to breaking through.

We are not competitive tonight. Total ass kicking.

That's the problem with the Dave Aranda era.

It's just a systematic obliteration of every potentially positive narrative week by week.

"The defense is better." The hell it is.
"We're a second-half team." The hell we are.

Every rationalization the most positive fan on the planet could make gets disproven within days of its presentation.

This era needs to ****ing end. It's sickening.

Well, it really isn't a narrative. The actual narrative is 6 wins. That's what the "insiders" are saying. I'm just opining that I think it could actually be less, contrary to the accepted measuring stick. I'm not saying I want to be right, it's just my own gut feeling.

Our 3 conference games so far have been against 3 teams tied (with others) for first place in the conference. The combined record of those 3 teams is 14-1.

I don't know if TT can win at Arizona tonight...but if they do it will be another matchup for us against a team in first place. Winning on the road in Lubbock probably isn't happening.

That would make 4 straight losses. Will the team be able to stay together mentally?

After that it does get more doable. But if our defense can't get several things fixed I don't think it will matter.

I think the spavital will need to work on his play calling. The offense team seems to still be in it. Our D is just dog shiet at giving up big time plays over and over which just sucks the air out of the team. Also I meant he will need to win 4 additional games on top of the 2 we have now. I just don't see it.

Not watching this nonsense but I do see Dave managed to make it worse than I even expected. Looks like a wrap. This probably needs to be it.

These folks were trying to sell you on keeping it close with a pretty good, decent football team in Iowa St. Now can't even do that. Ridiculous.. and that's no disrespect to them. The fumbling of FB success this program has managed is historic. You won't find another program that's ever managed to pull it off. The self righteousness and lack of self awareness has killed this program time and time again.

We still haven't won a conference game this year. Week 6. There aren't 6 wins to be had going forward unless we play Tarleton State every week til end of season. And even then we'd probably only get 4 in that matchup.

Fire Aranda and forfeit the season. We are on our self-imposed death penalty because Person over Player.
