Taking Stock of Baylor MBB's Preseason Ratings: What Do They Mean?

With the season starting in just a few weeks, the major analytics websites have released their preseason projections, and the Bears are in the thick of outside contention for a national title. Baylor ranks 11th on KenPom, 15th on Torvik and 10th on EvanMiya. 

All the preseason rankings have the Bears substantially better this season on defense. The Bears finished 107th and 72nd in adjusted defensive efficiency the last two seasons on KenPom.
